High-Performance, Built To Last
We have a Char-Broil 3 burner w/side shelves (25" X 17" Grill Surface). I added an el-cheapo rotisserie a couple years ago, used it often. Long story short - it was crappola. Yes, you get what you pay for.I visited One Grill's website before purchasing, and found a wealth of info like sizing advice, fitment, and available options. I ordered the 1/2" hexagonal spit, with stainless steel everything. The extra cost should pay for itself in terms of durability.Heavy-duty all the way - from the hefty materials to the hardware and manufacturing tolerances. You'll be impressed when you open the box. Initial installation was surprisingly quick, although it did take some time to tweak the post-install adjustments for clearance and alignment. Total time was about 1.5 hours (or 2 beers).I've bought many 'universal' products before, and was prepared for the worst. Happy to say that the enclosed brackets and hardware bolted up without issue. A major triumph, considering the huge number of different grill styles and sizes. I would have preferred to mount the motor vertically, but the supplied hardware only allows for horizontal mounting. Not a big deal, though - it works just fine. Some grills may present install challenges, but in most cases you should be able to mod it to fit.Check One Grill's website before buying, though. They may have a solution for your particular model. Nothing worse than unpacking the box then discovering it won't fit.Loaded an 8-pound chicken, the rig handled that like it was nothing. Will easily tolerate much more weight. My old spit would flop and flex, and the motor growled under the same weight. This motor is quiet and produces steady, serious torque. The offset brackets and heat shield do an excellent job of keeping high heat away from the motor. Even at 450 degrees, housing was barely warm. The heavy spit should insure flexing isn't an issue with any load we'll be spinning. On our small grill, we'll never approach the max rating. I figure 30 pounds is about as much as we can cram onto this spit. With longer spits (mine is 37") flexing may be an issue with really heavy loads. But keep in mind that the 50-pound rating is for the motor, not the complete setup. I'm fine with that, since I've had 3 motors previously tank on me. The reserve power should keep this one in the happy zone far longer. If you plan to regularly spin 50-pound loads, though, you should consider upgrading to the 5/8" spit, or a heavier standalone rig like the pros use.A premium piece of equipment - and made in USA. Reviews of customer service are overwhelmingly positive (sweet!). It ain't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Ask me how I know... This should outlive my grill by many years. If you're as lucky as I was, you ought to be up and running in time for supper.

Excellent Product & Customer Support
When product first arrived, the brackets did not fit my Somerset grill, which means the rotisserie wouldn't work. I put in a request to return through Amazon. At that time, I decided to send an email to the manufacture, and to my surprise, they responded and made a true effort to correct the bracket. They actually manufactured a bracket specific to my built-in grill. It took some time, but after about 3-4 weeks, the bracket came and the rotisserie fit perfection inside my grill. I was even able to close the lid! I didn't have to pay any extra fees or costs. They essentially created and customized their product so it would work with my grill. For all that effort, they deserve a 5 star review! The product itself is also great. High quality, very heavy rods and it works great. Was able to rotisserie my first pork belly and it was amazing!

AWESOME & Quality Rotisserie kit
Pros:Very quality - definitely get the stainless steel.Consistent speed and easy to attach meat.Holds a lot of weight.Water resistant motor.Easy to mount.Cons:No adjustable brackets for height supplied.I had to purchase some stainless steel braces to get the right height on my tabletop grill but all in all this is a really quality rotisserie.

Works great once mounting obstacles cleared.
I have an MHP grill with a cast aluminum box and lid and it was for this grill that I ordered this. I ran into a couple of issues that may help others. First, the cutout in my grill that allows the skewer to pass through the box in in the *bottom* of the box- NOT the lid, as is more common. So when the rotisserie is mounted, the skewer sits up too high and the lid won't close. I was able to fix that by jigsawing a notch in the lid so that it would close over the skewer. Also the screws provided were too short, I needed to replace them with slightly longer screws. They *just* protruded so that I could get the nut on with one or two threads, but that wasn't going to suffice in the long run. Rather than have a nice bird or roast ruined due to a screw coming undone, I just replaced them with proper length stainless screws with lock washers. On other grills the screws provided may be just fine, but the MHP box is nice and thick. Also, my grill is actually a grill head mounted in a granite counter top. As a result, even with mounting the skewer higher up and notching the lid, the counter balance weight cannot be adjusted to its furthest out setting without hitting the surface of the counter when it rotates around. If you have a "regular" back yard detached grill then there won't be anything to the left and right for the counterbalance to hit. However, beware of the clearance if your grill has shelves or extra put burners to the left and/or right. So I give this 4 stars for the mounting system not being dead simple and easy. I have cooked one rotisserie chicken so far, and it came out great. The motor seems very strong and didn't "complain" at all. This was a very light load though. For bigger items, balance will be crucial; spinning a balanced skewer takes very little effort. The prongs and cord and hardware in general are all hefty and feel good. The motor can be slipped of the mounting bracket and stowed in a safe dry place when not in use. The cord is a tad short; I have an outlet right there as this is in a built grill/counter top. Most people will need to run an extension cord, so be careful of that- don't want Aunt Jane tripping over the cord and spilling her wine all over grandpa. So study your grill a bit; once mounted it works great.
