Great books
I bought this book for my 6 year old along with other word problem books and math books to keep his skills up during spring and summer break. He loves the math books. These books are geared to the age appropriate group. Id definitely by again

Great Homework Practice
My son struggles with focusing and math word problems are a nightmare for everyone involved! I use these for practice at home and most of the problems go along with the in school curriculum ( Florida), some are even advanced, which will be useful for the summer when school is out. The only homework his teacher gives is handwriting practice once a week, so I tear out a pages and will include one ( front and back) in his class folder to do in after care maybe twice a week, according to what they're working on in class. His teacher saw some and loved them and his aftercare counselors will help him out when needed. The lessons are clear and easy to understand, as far as math word problems anyhow... The book is thin, about 60 pages, but well illustrated, very good quality and page thickness. Best of all, PERFORATED! That is a huge plus when you're in a rush. Definitely a good buy, especially for the price, the overall quality is fantastic.

Perfect!
My granddaughter did not get enough individual attention in first grade and didn’t understand basic concepts with new ones added and she’s very confused. I bought this book and it is 100% perfect for reviewing all of the concepts at our pace until I knew she understood it. And boy did I see the lightbulb go on!This child now grabs her math book eager to do it, and I could barely get her to do flashcards. That speaks volumes to me. Yes, it’s basic concepts but if your child needs to get a firm grasp on them, this is a fantastic tool! I am so pleased to see her so happy at learning math! They don’t overdo the concepts just enough pages to make sure she gets it. I am excited to do it with her. I recommend.

Books just came today - 60 pages
I'm a homeschooler and wanted some extra, grab and go word problems for my first grade sons. We are not using a set curriculum for math this year but use a series of books and the common core standards to help guide our learning. Although we haven't had a chance to use these books today (they just arrived), I'm very happy with the colorful pages, quality, and # of pages in the book. I was hoping this book would be more substantial than the ones I pick up in dollar bins and they are! (These have 60 pages, double sided where my $1 books from Target have 30.). I thought I would share a few pics right away as I was hesitant to order without seeing first, but took the gamble (which I'm glad I did). They seem worth the price and will be more exciting for my children to work with than black and white word problem pages.

A must for a child struggling with word problems
If your child is having trouble conquering word problems, this book is for you. My 7-year-old is doing well academically but following directions and solving math problems has always been challenging. His speech therapist recommended making a list of words and word pairs that indicate addition or subtraction (sum, total, in all, alltogether or how many more/less, difference). This book uses the same technique. It really helped my almost 3rd grader to get over the fear of math problems and now we are moving on from grade 1-2 book to grade 3-4. This book is a must for any child who is struggling with word problems, I went through many books and this series has been the best

Great for Summer!
The media could not be loaded. During the summer months I like to still incorporate learning so it's not such a shock going back to school. These books are great for that! They have 60 pages of actual learning, 3 pages for the answers and the last page is a certificate.
