Extremely Satisfied Customer
The media could not be loaded. I had never heard of the dulcimer up until about two weeks ago. It just sounded so great and had to buy one and try it for myself. Not knowing anything about dulcimers at all, my best guess is that this is an excellent dulcimer, at the very least for beginners looking to get into it.It holds a tune amazingly well. I've only tuned it once and its stayed in tune since. I love the sound and really appreciate the pick and noter. The noter really does make this instrument sound special.I've fallen in love with the dulcimer and would recommend this to anyone. It looks and feels great and it came much quicker than I expected.

Do not purchase this dulcimer!!! I don’t want to even give them 1 star!
I’m a nana on a tight budget but ordered my grand daughter this dulcimer. When it came I did as it said and took out to have it tuned. The musical instrument store showed me how the product I purchased, your dulcimer, was not build correctly! The tuning pegs are not placed right, the strings were not even for a dulcimer and the part that holds the strings in line where cut wrong and just left! I was so upset because they told me for $100 more I could have had a custom built one made of quality woods.I’m just upset that I didn’t know to check where this instrument was made, it’s made in Pakistan and I’d over of the worst made instrument company’s there is! Do don’t be fooled by them and definitely check around before purchasing but don’t buy from this company!! I hate that Amazon even offers their product! :(

Well made and sounds great
This is a surprisingly well-made and good-sounding instrument. I've been wanting to learn the dulcimer, but most "good" ones start at $400+ and I wasn't willing to make that kind of investment on something I might not like. This is well-fitted, parts are smooth, sanded well, and joined very well. The sound is delightful - very bright and clear. The action is very nice, and consistent as well. Not a lot of pressure needed to get clear notes, and harmonics sound easily and clearly. This is absolutely a good beginner's instrument. If you're looking to learn and join in on jams, this is definitely a great choice for the money.Do remember this does not come with a gig bag or case, but a hanger or case could be purchased cheaply in addition. If you don't already have one, a Snark will also be a good purchase so you can keep the dulcimer in tune. It does fit just fine on the scroll.

Not Recommended- read my review
Im not a pro but, I play dulcimer often. I bought this with a gift card and understood it wouldnt be high quañity. FIRST, this is the LAST instrument for a beginner. The action is very heavy and hard to chord. The strings sit too high to easily push down without effort and dont sound but clang. SECOND, it sounds like clangs and tin. Third, the nut and bridge are junk. Spend twice as much and get a quality instrument that will become a family hierloom!!!

Very Big bang for buck
I have the Grace model. It is a very good instrument. It sounds very good, to the point of being inspiring. I've been playing guitar for a long time and I know a decent acoustics sound when i hear one. I also have a child who is now playing multiple instruments and I simply could not afford to buy her an expensive piano, violin, guitar, mandolin, and now dulcimer. I took a chance on this one, and we are very happy with it. So happy I bought another for myself and another for my sister. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because both my daughter's and mine will need some setup work to lower the strings a little and set the intonation, and I do that myself and am a very lazy person.(dont know yet if my sister's is the same, but really, such minor issues can be true of any new instrument, including those that cost over 1000 bucks).

“Used” New in the Box
Item was listed as “Used”. However, crack in the back of the dulcimer was not disclosed in item description. A Risk taken when buying “Used”, otherwise I would have given 5 Stars.
