Well built, tight fitting and low profile
Impressed with the design on this. Its low profile, fairly easy to install. Make the truck look good.I gave it 4 out of 5 on installation due to i needed another body to help hold a corner down to have it sit right for bolt down. Even that, wasnt difficult at all. RTFM and golden.I tested it thru many a carwash (Crew Carwash) which has high pressure. Hardly any water gets in. Little by the tailgate. We'll see how it holds to sun damage/coloration and the weather. I personally think it will do well!Foldup: This is a must if you use the bed for hauling things. This top folds ups nice and easy. Simple pull down on the cable and flip it over! The mfg states it can hold up some weight. I'm not going to try it unless I have to. I trust what they say. Its a solid top.If you are thinking on this one, dont hesitate!

Smooth install and quality product for my 2023 Silverado
First, I spent a fair amount of time doing research for a decent tonneau cover. When I purchased my truck, I knew I needed a tonneau cover. I initially was leaning toward a retractable-style cover for a couple of reasons. One - I wanted something that would make my bed both secure and dry. Two - I wanted something that would be out of the way when I needed the full bed and was electric actuated. Third - I was fairly certain I wanted something constructed of metal rather than plastic or vinyl. There was one issue with electric retractable tops is they are VERY expensive! So, eventually I had arrived at the conclusion I just didn't want to spend the money for a retractable top, but wanted the sturdiness of a metal retractable top. BakFlip hits 2 of my 3 asks for a tonneau cover - AND at a fraction of the cost! So, this is MY comparison contrast between retractable vs folding tonneau covers.Next, when it arrived, it was packed very securely. I was a bit worried after I had ordered because I had read some reviews that indicated their cover was damaged during shipping. The box was large and bulky, but wasn't unmanageable. My 17 year old daughter actually got it into the house just fine on her own.Installation. My advice on installation is to unwrap the cover and brackets and separate the hardware into piles (nuts, washers, lock washers). The other reviews on here are spot-on! If you are like me and you're a garage 'tinkerer' with cars and trucks and know your way around a toolbox, you will have no problem with the install. It took me about an hour. Just be sure, to pay attention to the alignment and insure the brackets are grabbing your bed rails squarely. Definitely worth going back around to give the bolts a final 'snug' when you're done.Performance. I saw mixed reviews on here that were indicative of the cover leaking. The cover (so far) has kept the gear in my bed dry during the handful of rainstorms we've had since the install. As for the dust? Here's the thing. When you put one of these covers on, you are sealing around the top of your bed. The penetrations and voids UNDER that cover will allow dust (and in most cases water). How is it the tonneau cover's fault? Get creative if you want your bed to be air-tight.Overall, I am pleased with this purchase. In the end I am happy that I decided to save about $1600 because, as it turns out, I don't think having a remote and being able to click a button to retract the cover is worth an extra $1600. I hope this review helps if you are on the fence like I was...

Well made cover
This was easy to install on my new truck. My previous truck had the flip type. I definitely like this roll up type. It dosen't completely cover the back window like the flip type. The other thing I really like is the option of completely removing it if needed. Also, I like there's no box hanging down taking up bed space like the power or recoiling covers.

Poor quality control, but looks good overall
I was excited to receive my tonneau for my brand new truck, until I received it. The quality control issues that others report, seem to be accurate and consistent. I had several issues I encountered from the first piece I removed from the package, and others as I continued the install. Some were relatively minor but sloppy work, to others that will likely be permanent problems so I'm forced to call the manufacturer to request replacement parts. Problems include the rubber seals on the rails being misaligned lengthwise as well as off to the side on one of them. On the cover itself there was a piece not even remotely close to being in place and possibly damage to either the piece or the rubber seal attached to it. On one side of the cover itself the corner was bent and after loosening and trying to put back to the appropriate angle, its clearly not going to be sealed properly and looks bad.Beyond the quality control issues, the cover generally looks great. It is far from a water tight seal on my 2020 GMC AT4 short bed, visibly seeing gaps at the front and back of the truck bed. I expect that if left in the rain, water will enter and ruin anything stored inside if near the sides at least. Despite the sprayed on Berliner, I may go back and try to fit the seal at the front of the bed in hopes it fills the gaps seen there at least. The instructions only mention drop in bedliners, not the factory sprayed on textured liner so its unclear what the recommended path would be. Sadly I don't see a good fix for the tailgate gap that exists, perhaps if the seal at front works well I can try sliding the cover back a bit more? These are not problems I expected to have to solve myself and will prevent me from recommending this brand to others despite how good it looks.

Made in the USA
Looks great, fits great, made in the USA! I have a 5th gen GMC Denali with multi-pro tailgate. The tonneau cover is super low profile and locks as my tailgate locks. While it’s more expensive than the cheap made in China stuff, you do get what you pay for. It’s not totally weatherproof, but I feel like it will keep anything you put in their out of harms way. It’s super easy to use and can fold it from either side of the truck. All in all, a great buy!
