Q: How tall is the heel?

I would say about an inch. I have back problems and I cannot tolerate any heel and these are awesome! They help my back. I bought them in 2 different colors. I hope that helps!

Q: How are these boots if you have a wide foot?

I have a large instep, but always managed to get into a regular size 9. However, these boots have elastic bands on each side that I don’t feel is necessary; and therefore, I clipped both of them, which allows my foot to slide into the boot easily. They are very comfortable and sleek. This is my third pair. 👍

Q: do they stain when wet?

No the black ones don't stain. I have a pair of tan Ughs that do leave a line where they get wet. If these Skechers are offered in a light color I can't comment on that.

Q: Are these booties "relaxed fit?"

No, they are not a relaxed fit. I would suggest buying a full size up from your normal shoe size. They fit snug and are rather tight to get on your foot. However, once you get the correct size the boot is wonderful and extremely comfortable.
