4L80E Transmission Filter Kit 1997 and UP GM 4L80 with Shift Solenoid Set

Did not have to use the cork gasket as i was able to reuse my factory gasket. Trans works just fine, I did a drop and fill.5 Quart change.

I bought this and I opened the box up and the 2-3 shift solenoid was not wrapped in plastic, but the 1-2 solenoid was. I’m concerned the 2-3 has been bought and returned. I will probably be buying AC Delco solenoids to replace these. Don’t want to drop the pan more than once.

Not crazy for cork gaskets, but I have not had any problems.

Though I bought this transmission filter kit with switches over 3 months ago I just found the time to do the work. When I was ready to install the new switches I found that one was broken where the the cap that holds the spring and piston in place was broke off. There is no way to repair it so I was only able to replace one of the switches. This could be rare event, but it happened to me nonetheless and it was beyond the time for me to return it. The gasket was fine, but not as good as the OEM, which I kept in case the cork gasket leaks.
