Great lawn mower!
I’ve been using my Kobalt lawn mower for a few months now. Absolutely love it! I have a half acre lot and I go through 2 1/2 battery uses. I would average 40 minutes per battery. I was not interested in a gas mower and the electric has proven to be a winner! I love the warranty that comes with the mower (5 yrs) and battery (3 yrs). When a company offers a great warranty like that you know you’re getting a great product.

SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE!!!!
I was just operating my 80 volt Kobalt mower on some dewey grass which naturally plugged up the inside of the mower deck. I turned it on its left side and used my garden hose to spray out the clumped grass. I was using my hands to help clear out the grass when the blades started turning and immediately hit full RPMs for a couple of seconds then stopped.Fortunately, I pulled my hand out quick enough to not lose my hand or any fingers. I really couldn't believe it and made sure nothing was affecting the power button or safety bar. I stood back and continued to spray the inside the deck and it started up again and again. Perhaps the water from the hose shorted out something that bypassed the start button. When I righted the mower it operated normally. I have not seen this issue elsewhere but am truly amazed this could happen. I will post this elsewhere and hope it will get some attention before someone else is not as lucky as I was.

Good quality mower, Home Depot E-Go is much better mower though.
Bought this new in box as a clearance item from Lowe's online for $224.00. The item arrived from Lowe's with the box damaged but on initial inspection it appeared to be OK inside the box. The next day I discovered the damages a bent front axle and broken front wheel hub. I called Kobalt customer service and they sent out a replacement axle and a new wheel. This repair wasn't too taxing for me to do on my own, just a bit annoying it has to be done at all. I was pleased that there wasn't any hassle about getting the parts and that the customer service people were so nice. The repair requires popping off the wheel hub covers and removing the wheels by pulling the cotter pins that hold them in place and making sure that the flat washer between the cotter pin and the wheel is retained for reinstalling the wheel.Next you release the linkage on the left side of the axle that controls the cutting depth ( a crown nut, washer and bolt). I loosely attach those parts to the linkage arm for reassembly later.Underneath the mower there are two blue nylon plastic straps holding the axle in place. Those straps are attached to the plastic part of the front of the mower with self tapping T-20 torx type (star) screws. Remove the screws and straps and the axle can now be removed.Reverse the process to reinstall. Replace the damaged axle with the new one, reinstall the straps with the torx screws to hold it in place. Reattach the mower level linkage to the left side of the axle. Reinstall the wheels by sliding on the wheels then the flat washer and then the cotter pin through the drilled hole in the axle shaft. The small hub caps are next note that there are 3 clips that fit into 3 corresponding holes on the wheel be sure those are lined up and they will snap into place easily. Now with the new axle and wheel it rolls much better and tracks true. The mower itself is quiet and powers through my grass very well the batteries charges up in about 1/2 hour and give about 1/2 hour of constant service per charge. Note that frequent starts and stops reduces battery time I think that's due to surge amperage when starting the mower. So don't be surprised by a 20-25 minute run time if you frequently stop the mower.Overall pleased with the unit (especially at $224.00) but a little disappointed that I got as damaged one.

Great product!!
Parts were in a hidden compartment in the front so if you think your missing parts, check there first!

Buyer Beware of the BIG Picture
I bought this mower directly from Lowes in 2018 for my small city lot. I am a single older lady and that first season I was ecstatic! It is lightweight and as long as I didnt let my grass get too long 2 batteries got through it. I loved ease of starting no gas no oil. Last year the batteries were awful. There was NO support at all from the store. Eventually the people in Canada sent me a new charger and a new set of batteries. The new batteries do not hold their charge nearly as long as the original pair. For a $600 mower (self propelled model)I expected more. I definitely like the battery mower but I would NOT recommend Kobalt.

3 YEARS OLD
The mower is 3 years old, and I have gone through 3 batteries at $150 a pop. Sorry, but I'm going back to gas. End of story.
