I had tried another company's motion sensor lights with several reviews and they did not work. I took a chance on this item as there were no reviews and I was glad I did. These lights work great! They are sturdy, even though they are plastic. The magnet on the back holds very well to a fridge or other metal material. You have the option to use an additional metal disc that you can adhere to a nonmetal surface to make it a magnetic mountable surface or you can use the provided screws to mount to a wall. All three of the lights come on at night at the approx 120 degree range with motion and go off after several seconds. They stay off during the day. I have one mounted near a litter box for the cats, one at the bottom of the stairs and one in the bathroom. They are bright white and I'm glad I purchased these.

I like the lights but won't be able to use them the way I wanted to, here's why:1. They come on when there is already a light on. I put two in the hallway to no longer have to flip on lights to get through the dark house, then have to go back and turn them all off. These do the job wonderfully, EXCEPT, they come on when there's plenty of light (like when the overhead light is on 10 feet away from this one. The hallway is busy so having the lights come on when not needed is just a waste of batteries.2. The magnet isn't very strong, at least when bonding with the thin metal plate with adhesive on the other side (which isn't very strong either). It seems like it'll be fine, until you load it with batteries, then it starts to slide off. Maybe if the metal disk was thicker it would hold better?

Purchased these after reading many reviews on similar products. I was originally looking for 'under cabinet' motion sensor lights that would only turn on in darkness. These are quite good, but the shape doesn't spread the light in a more linear pattern like others would. HOWEVER, these are so versatile and functional for many different applications! My cats often are using their sense of smell and touch rather than vision (since they're older and have eye problems) when they use the dark litter box. A little extra light helps quite a bit and placing these on the underside of the lid gives just enough brightness to help them see and even feel (I think) better.The adhesive on the magnet mount discs isn't very strong - especially with 3 AA batteries inside the units - so I used a hot glue gun to secure the discs, and they stay in place quite nicely.PRO's: bright, larger/stronger batteries mean changing less (AllMax are great), nice design, solidly built, motion sensing is just right (activates in the dark when motion about 24-36in away)CON's: adhesive on magnet mount discs is a little weak - can be addressed with hot glue, screw

Would have given this product 5 stars, but one of the three stopped working after a couple of weeks. The little magnet on the back works quite well, and because they're light weight, I used some heavy-duty double-sided sticky tape to adhere one if them to the wall. (The other is inside our mailbox, which helps when we're checking the mail at night!)

I would give it better reviews but I was trying to avoid having to screw these in and utilize the adhesive plate that was supposed to come with it. Unfortunately the set that I did receive did not have any plates in them. I would like for the seller to contact me and I’ll be more than happy to update this review. Just disappointed that it literally only came with the light.Update: The seller did contact me and sent the magnetic plates within two days. My wife and I love the lights as it completes our closet now. I appreciate the efforts from the seller to rectify the situation to complete my order.

The first pack of 3 worked great - I used the anchors provided & put 2 up in each closet on opposite walls & only 1 in the ceiling in the small stairs closetThe 2nd pack I ordered had a defective light that wouldn’t work properly as it shut off & then came back on with no motion but since I only needed 2 it worked out okayThey’re perfect for a small closet (broom or hall one) but probably not for any larger space without using multiple unitsLight is bright enough to illuminate the spacesOverall very satisfied with the product as I can return the defective product

Got it to light my dark pantry, but not bright enough to read can labels. Tried putting all three in same closet, but only one will turn on at a time.

I could have dealt with the weak glue that the magnetic base comes with, and everything worked beautifully for the first couple of days. However, after a couple of days one of them would work properly when it sensed motion, then turn iself off in the proper amount of time, but then just switch back on again, over and over, without motion triggering it. Very frustrating, and there's no way I can use that one. At first I tried taking the batteries out, then putting them back in and it seemed to disrupt this cycle. Eventually, however, it would start doing it again (I used only fresh batteries, and I didn't use rechargeables). I switched the positions of the light, and exchanged that one with the other 2. So it turns out that one is defective and un-usable. I needed all 3 to work, so if one's not working properly it defeats the purpose and blows my confidence that the other 2 will continue to work as advertised. So I'll have to buy another set of three, but I definitely won't buy this brand again. Very disappointing! I gave them two stars because only 2 of them work.*Update : the other two are still working properly. I contacted the seller and was given a prompt refund, told me it wasn't necessary to return the 2 that work . For this reason I'm upgrading the review from 2 stars to 4.
