This flash is a beast. On it's max power setting it shines through the diffuser box without any problem.It's very solidly built without being heavy. It's made of sturdy plastic and has a matte finish.So far I have only used it as a main flash with the included diffuser and I'm very happy with the results.I would highly recommend it as a beginner's unit. Since it's completely manual you will have to play with your camera settings to get that perfect photograph. This will allow you to better understand your camera and how to use your flash gun in creative ways.Don't hestitate to get this little gem, totally worth it.P.S. The diffuser is functional, but a bit too thin for my taste. I'm thinking of adding a sheet of sturdy trce paper on the inside so I have a better light diffusion.

I'm thrilled with this flash. My D3300 takes great pictures but with the addition of this flash I can take awesome pictures just about anywhere. I have to admit that I have yet to use the remote because I already have one, but I do plan on playing around with this sometime soon to see if the range is at all improved. Also the soft box diffuser seems a lot flimsier than I would have liked. It's plastic and I have some concerns about the long term use with folding it and unfolding it constantly I would have reduced my review to 4 stars because of this but honestly it still works and so far it hasn't shown signs of wearing out.The flash output is great and the range and the refresh rate is good. I use rechargeable (Sanyo Eneeloops) batteries which I know is a "no, no" but honestly I can take repetitive shots with very short duration between (2-3 seconds). I haven't tried it yet, but i'm assuming that if you want to shorten that gap then you can use regular batteries. If rechargeables are your thing then I do highly recommend the Eneeloops (longevity, cycle rates, holding a charge, etc.).The mechanics of the flash are outstanding: the incremental "click" positions are firm and yet not stiff so you can easily tilt to the perfect degree and take your picture.Is this a professional flash? Of course not but it's a fantastic addition to an amateurs toolkit or a semi-professional.It would work great for portrait photography (especially if you have additional flash/light sources). If you are going to be doing site shoots such as weddings, parties, etc. then you might want to go for something a bit beefier with an even quicker refresh rate and more controls, but for me this flash works great.

This flash works very well. I like that the brightness is adjustable and the I can adjust the angle of it depending on the conditions.

Definitely worth the buy. Plastic material used feels solid and not cheap. Functions well and simple for beginners. Would recommend.

I couldn't be pleased more. Strong and fast flash. Doesn't eat batteries like I thought it would. The diffuser cover worked like a charm. For the every day guy I can't see a reason to buy an expensive model when this unit works so well! If I broke it tomorrow I would buy it again. Looks snappy too to boot!

The flash worth its price, but the diffuser is very thin and light through it is still too hard.The remote control (which has "FOR SONY" on it) does not work with Sony A7 and all above cameras.Three stars for the product for:Remote control does not work as expected -1Diffuser is low quality and light through is too hard -1

Hi I am a beginner photographer. I was looking for something cheap to throw on my camera to give extra light in dark rooms. Didn't use the remote much or diffuser. Speed light is a little big. I used it on my Nikon d3200. For a cheap choice it really did its job. Would definitely purchase again. I passed it down to a little cousin that beginning a photographer journey. Great inexpensive tool to learn from.

Tengo una Canon G16. Lo primero que decir es que el Flash es grande, o al menos en relación con esta Canon. No es algo malo, pero pensé que era un flash pequeño de poca calidad y me he encontrado con un gran Flash en tamaño y en calidad, con una presentación muy cuidada y con interesantes accesorios. Incluso el vendedor manda una nota muy sincera de agradecimiento. El control remoto no lo he probado. Salvo por no ser TTL, por lo demás, encantado por la compra. Buen Flash, potencia de sobra, calidad de acabado, presentación, accesorios, precio....

Bought two of these, mainly for a back up but why not, they are so cheap I can afford too. And in all fairness for the price they are incredible. Works perfectly for my NIKON D7200. I would just say that if your a beginner on the lighting side of things these are one of the easiest I’ve used

Initialement, j'étais très insatisfait de ce flash ! le premier exemplaire reçu avait une molette qui était défectueuse, car elle s'est bloquée complètement et il a fallu que je prenne une pince pour desserrer ! j'ai renvoyé le tout à Amazon et j'étais sur le point d'écrire un très mauvais avis, puis j'ai vu la vente flash ( c'est le cas de le dire...) sur Amazon France où ce flash était proposé à moins de 25 € ! j'en ai commandé un à nouveau et cette fois-ci aucun souci avec la molette pour faire maintenir le flash sur l'appareil. Et là, que du bonheur ! ne vous fiez pas à l'indication d'un nombre guide de seulement 33, le flash est très puissant et surtout simplissime à régler, il suffit d'appuyer sur les touches pour augmenter ou diminuer l'intensité de celui-ci et cela fonctionne parfaitement pour ajuster la puissance du flash, pas besoin de réglages compliqués. Aussi bien en flash indirect qu'en direct, les images sont parfaites. Et ce qui est vraiment génial, c'est qu'il fonctionne parfaitement aussi bien sur mon Sony Alpha A 6000 que sur mon Canon 100 D. Ce flash ne coûte pas un dixième de flash de marques et pourtant il est bien meilleur, je l'affirme. Egalement, on peut flasher à volonté, sans qu'il faille attendre un temps interminable que cela se recharge. Et comme le mécanisme de maintien est simple et que le sabot s'adapte bien à beaucoup d'appareils, pas de risque de voir ce sabot rendre l'âme comme sur mon Nissin 40 qui m'a coûté 5 fois plus cher et qui est désormais inutilisable ! Merci à Amazon France d'avoir organisé cette vente flash pour moins de 25 €, à ce prix-là, c'était carrément cadeau, vu la qualité du flash et sa polyvalence sur plusieurs appareils, car je désespérais de trouver un bon flash pas cher pour mon "vieux" Canon EOS 100 D et ce flash remplit parfaitement son rôle pour un prix dérisoire. SIX étoiles !
