This ladder is very easy to figure out how to use. Do not extend it to it's full length and then try moving it where you want it unless you have help and know what you are doing. You need to use common sense, otherwise the weight of it's extended length will get away from you and could fall through your front window like I almost had happen. Get it to where you want it then extend it from the bottom. This ladder that can extend to 22' and you can't expect it to be as light as fiberglass and also expect it to be as sturdy as steel. I weigh 230 lbs and I never felt like it couldn't handle my weight. I used it at the 18' height to get access to my gutters which I've never been able to do with my old 16' ladder. It made the job of getting those helicopter seeds off the top of my gutters so much easier! I'll be using it soon to its full 22' length to trim the 4 trees in my yard that are growing too fast. I figure I would pay a tree trimmer more than this ladder cost to do the same job, but this way I still have a ladder to use for the rest of my life. In my opinion, the people who get in trouble trimming trees are the ones who have to extend themselves higher than they should because their ladder is too short! This ladder will allow me to trim branches off of 4 different trees than I never could have done by myself before, and I'm almost 66 years old and only 5'7" tall. I should have bought it years ago but I'm not sure it was available then. I'm very happy I bought this ladder.

I use this ladder in all types of positions and angles. It works great as a step ladder and just as well as extension ladder. It's very sturdy and all of the latches lock in place in a way you are confident they aren't going to fail mid use. I am a big guy weighing about 240lbs and I have extended this all the way out and used it to climb to the top of a building and not once was I worried that it was going to fail. It is a large heavy item to have shipped but it arrived safe and was easier to get via delivery than any other way for someone like me that lives in a city.

This is a very flexible ladder. It gets very tall as well. I use this for painting and gutter cleaning and all sorts of things. It isn't the one ladder I'd use for the tallest jobs but it gets the most heavy duty jobs done for me.

This ladder was heavier than expected. I had seen friends with similar lightweight ladders that the had gotten at a big box store. I wanted something better so I could safely use this ladder when carrying things up and down. This ladder is very sturdy so it is heavier, had to get used to moving/carrying it, because of the weight it has to be positioned correctly for opening and raising. Really like it because I feel safe using it, even when fully extended.

This ladder is super. So sturdy and so versatile. I replaced an old a-line ladder with this one. The difference is like night and day. I feel totally secure and like that I can lean it, or stand it up - and still feel solid. Unlike some other extension ladders, this one still feels steady when opened up. No sagging in the middle. It is lightweight enough, although a smaller person might have some trouble moving it around. I am 5' 6" but quite strong, so have no problem with it.

Little bit heavy for me however the stability is worth every penny.

I really needed at least a 20 foot ladder. It's no where close to the leading claim of 22 feet. It's only 18' 9". For those reviews claiming the ladder is exactly as advertised must work for that company because it's not even close. I should have read the description more closely that says it's 19 feet, but it's 3" shy of that. It's sturdy and durable but has false advertising for it's actual size.
