Easy to install where there was an already existing fluorescent light. about 2 feet of pre-wire inside, black, white and ground to reach the ceiling box. This produces allot of light at full power making it about 80-100 lx at bench height. Great for doing Laundry, ironing, etc. Wife says it's too bright. I'll hook it up to a Normal LED/CFL dimmer switch soon. That's a big plus for this light in that separate wires for the 10 volt dimmer circuit do not have to be run. I'll be using the Leviton 6674-P0W SureSlide Universal 150-Watt LED and CFL/600-Watt Incandescent Dimmer. This light is INSTANT ON and produces no buzzing. Will buy again for my Garage or basement lights when the time comes. The light buzzes and flickers when hooked to the dimmer switch above in a 3-way configuration. It's a great dimmer switch. I have 2 other same dimmer switches to control 2 other LED Lights in the house. The switches work wonderfully. Not the switches fault. So I bought a Lutron TGCL-153 dimmer and had buzzing and flickering. This light appears to be NOT Dimmable. Wiring was checked and certified by an electrician. Would give 5 stars if Dimmable as advertised. This Light is dimmable but you NEED a 10V compatible dimmer. The listed as compatible Dimmer switches are NOT 10V and will not work. The LED Driver is a MingFirst Power Dimming LED Driver, Model # MIPV3056YD-C14002. This is a Class 2 driver. I'm fine at this time with 100% power and no buzz on standard 3 way switching. Maybe one day I'll run a 10 volt pair and use the dimming feature. Due to it's location, it's a tough job. I have other 10V dimmer switches in the house. Support was great as I contacted them about this.

I bought this to replace an existing porcelain single-socket fixture in a basement with exposed joists. I had to add some strapping to fasten this light to the joists, but once that was done the install was trivial. The light output is better than I anticipated; it fully illuminates the target work area.The only downside of this unit is the mounting points. It has no slots to mount it onto a ceiling box; instead, it has 4 slots out near the perimeter of the light plate. But it does have knockouts, 1 in the center and 1 on each end, for running the wiring up and out of the light plate.Overall a great unit and one very satisfied customer.

Light mounted easily and is very bright. More clips to tuck the wire up would have been good, took a while to keep the wires from sitting on the cover and casting shadows

We hung this light in our kitchen to replace a fluorescent fixture. Wow, what a difference! Truly instant on. Nice and bright without being harsh. Due to the fixture's light weight it was easy to hang. Recommended. Haven't used the dimming feature, so cannot comment on that.

VERY easy to install. Is a significantly smaller footprint than the 35 year old fl light that was there. I found a white shelf board to cover up the old outline of the old light and mounted the new light on that. It's at a good price point. It's very bright and lights up the room far better than any 2 tube fl light I've ever seen...

I purchased LED light, dimmer, and installation from Amazon. Light works, but cannot be dimmed (as many others point out on this product listing). Amazon unwilling to help. If you want a dimmable LED light fixture (as this one is advertised to be) read the product specification document (user manual) carefully and ask yourself 1) Are the instructions clear about how is this wired, and where the connections are made? 2) Is it clear what signal level (current) is required for 0-10VDC? 3) Will the switch I choose be compatible with this light? 4) If I buy everything from Amazon, and use Amazon to install it, will they stand behind it if their installation does not work? In our case, the answer to all of the above questions was not only "no", but "hell no". The problem is that once Amazon tears out, and throws away your old lights, you are pretty well committed to making this work. Amazon Home Services' argument was basically that they were in charge of selling and installing the two components, but that they have no responsibility for the two components working properly together. Amazon was unable to offer any solution to our problem (a different switch, a different light, etc.). We strongly regret working with Amazon Home Services rather than a real electrician.

Fully lit is very bright and works well in kitchen so I am keeping it since its installed. However, it does not dim very much and the dimmed light is greyish colored and not that pleasant.

If you want bright light........this is the one to get!! We installed one in the kitchen and one in our office! Absolutely amazing at the light it puts off. We didn’t decide to put dimmers on them so I can write a review about that. So easy to install and very light weight. You can’t go wrong with this light unless you need something more fancy or decorative. Just what we needed and very impressive.
