Do exactly what they say on the tin.
Hi - so I bought this to use with a Bestek surge protection socket, to mount to my desk to give me easy access to power and USB charging.Took about 5 mins to fit - it just mounts to the holes you usually find in power strips for wall mounting. Uses wing-nuts to tighten up, which is great, although they were a little small for my meat-hands - but just a minor personal niggle. The brackets are very well made, but also quite large - so with the Bestek, the mounting holes are right at the very ends of the body, so the brackets stick out a bit. Luckily the bracket style is very, well, stylish, so the bits that do stick out aren’t obtrusive. All in, an excellent purchase I think. Maybe a little dear for a couple of fancy G-clamps, but you get what you pay for.Recommended.

Nearly excellent, but check your desk design works with them
Sturdy metal brackets with some firm foam padding where they touch the top of the desk and the back of the power strip, they have a choice of upper and lower holes on each bracket for mounting a power strip. They could be improved with something like a flat rubber coated face at the end of of the screw that meets the underside of the desk, rather than the typical metal ring. That way less tension would be required to get them to grip the desk firmly and minimises them biting into the underside of the desk making the surface uneven and so less easy for it to grip if you need to move them slightly. They come with one pair of small wingnuts and two pairs of thin bolts of the same length, one pair with round heads taking a Phillips style screw driver bit, the other pair with countersunk heads taking a small Allen key.For the money, I think it should have two lengths of bolt for different power strip designs. Such thin bolts are inconvenient things to order as you must get the correct diameter for the holes and its unlikely anyone will need a bag full of them - which no doubt you would need to order. My desks have round edges and bevels at front and back, but the bevel is so deep these brackets will not reach far enough in to grip parallel upper and lower surfaces. So I thought I would put them at the end of the desk that has no bevel nor rounding. Unfortunately, my desks have side panels at about 3 cm from the end of the desk that act as legs. This gap is too little, preventing the bracket from going on far enough to grip fully the underside of the desk. You will need at least 3.5 cm between the edge of the desk and anything like my desk's side panels. Cutting off some of the bracket would not help as the nut used to tighten the bracket is the part that touches the side panel.

Great sturdy brackets.
Warning this is just a pair of brackets!Once I got over this shock I noticed these will fit any power extension as the screws are fitted to slots on the rear of the block. The brackets are sturdy and when fitted are rock solid on the desk.I thoroughly recommend these.

Another alternative approach
Inspired by Tom's alternative approach, and after discovering that my desk and shelf were too thick to attach the units, I decided to try it sideways/vertically . This worked perfectly. The power socket is completely hidden behind the monitors and there's no unsightly mess of wires under the table. Great stuff.

Let down by screw being far too short
Seems well made and well designed, but the screw that attaches it to the extension is on 15mm long, way too short for my extension which need more like 25mm. Measure you extension before ordering this, in the end I bought some longer screws but that added cost and considerable hassle.

universal and great value
Thought I would put a quick review to show a different angle you can use the mount, i wanted it to hang under my desk instead of on top.if you flip the bracket you can have it under the desk so it really is universal.
