More Functions Than My Old Smartphone, But Needs Its Own Juice Box
Behold! The Worx Multi-Function LED Flashlight! It arrived, sleek and promising, ready to banish darkness with the power of... oh, wait. Right. Tool Only. Step one: Commence the ritualistic hunt for a charged 20V Worx Power Share battery. If you're new to the Worx ecosystem, buying this first is like buying a fancy electric car with no place to plug it in. For those of us already committed, it's just another frantic game of "Which battery did I leave on the charger?" during a power outage.Once you do locate a suitable power source and snap it in, this thing is less a flashlight and more a transformer disguised as illumination device. It's a flashlight! No, wait, pull the head up... BAM! It's a 360-degree lantern bright enough to interrogate شبحs in the attic! But wait, there's more! Tilt the head... POOF! It's a desk lamp, perfect for reading schematics or realizing just how dusty your workbench is. Click again... ZAP! Emergency SOS beacon! I haven't quite figured out if there's a hidden laser pointer or espresso maker function yet, but I wouldn't be surprised. One reviewer said it had "too many features," and honestly, trying to remember the click sequence in the dark feels like trying to enter a cheat code. (Pro tip: Press-and-hold turns it off from any mode, saving you from cycling through the entire light show).Jokes aside, it's actually incredibly versatile. The lantern mode is legitimately great for power outages or camping, and the desk lamp feature is surprisingly handy. It feels sturdy, and knowing the LED will basically last until the next geological era is comforting. It's a bit back-heavy with the battery for long treks purely as a flashlight, but perfect for setting down or hanging up (thanks, lanyard!).Bottom Line: If you're already invested in Worx 20V batteries and need a light that does almost everything except make coffee, this is a fantastic, bright, and slightly bewilderingly versatile tool. Just make sure you have a charged battery before the lights go out, or its main function will be 'Expensive Paperweight'.

Probably my most used Worx Power Share tool!
I'll admit that I wasn't sure this light would be worth the money, even though I have many, many Worx Power Share tools. Well, I am sure now, this light is amazing! This light is just so useful and full of features. In regular flashlight mode, it provides a nice, bright beam. I've used it in this configuration from time to time and it's perfectly fine. Now, hand carrying it, the balance point is to the back, where the Power Share battery resides. If your only need is for a hand-held light, there are probably better options out there. This works fine (best with the lighter 2Ah Power Share batteries), but probably isn't comfortable enough for long treks through the dark (though it will certainly suffice for such use).Where this light shines (pun sort of intended) is in the other modes of operation. Just pull up on the head and you have a very nice, diffused, 360 degree lantern. One click of the power switch gets you low power, another click and whatever room you're in is instantly bathed in nice, bright, white light. I've used the light in this mode extensively, both at my off-grid cabin and at home to light up a room that has no power (darned squirrels chewed the wiring in the attic). With a 4Ah battery, even on the high power setting, it seems to last forever. On low power, even more so. Even using a 2Ah battery is fine for this low power drain tool.My next favorite mode is in "reading" mode--once the flashlight head has been extended, simply pull it down at the hinge point and it focuses the light downward. This is perfect for use on a table or workbench to add needed light for reading or working on projects.About the only mode I've not needed (yet) is the strobe function that flashes SOS. Hope to never need that one, but it's there if I do!In summary, this light is just so versatile and does things no other light (that I know of) can do. It works with the same Power Share batteries you already have so you'll always have a charged one available. Although its price point is just a little high (IMHO), I think it represents good value for money. I am totally happy with this light and recommend it.

Perfect versatile add-on to any current Work 20volt tool owners @ work/hobby/home
Please read exacting details before purchasing;Firstly, the positive;Extremely, but extremely versatile light for D.I.Y.ers, professionals, hobbiest and really anybody around the house, garage, car, etc.It truly lends itself to several angles and even light disbursements/intensities. And rather easily too. Feels sturdy like it has long-term durability if you are kind to the fluorescent lamp no severe drops (I would imagine). Now, the negative;Unfortunately, unless you have other Worx 20volt tools that you've purchased and have a 20volt battery and charger around - this item is useless to you in this purchase category here of "tool only".We only saw it like this not offered with extra charger and battery.Honestly, we would gladly buy an extra charger and battery with this item (a more completely ready out of the box ready to use version) to be able to gift because it truly is that good.

Like Carrying Portable Sunshine!
We needed a dependable lantern and reading light for camping and flashlight for emergencies. Was already familiar with WORX quality and outstanding batteries that can be shared among WORX tools. We already own the WORX two-in-one drill and reciprocating saw. We were already familiar with the long lasting batteries. When I found the WORX lantern/flashlight, I had to try it. We just used it on a five-day camping trip. We used it every night as both a flashlight and lantern on the same battery. It was like carrying portable sunshine. The flashlight is more like a spotlight. The lantern single-handedly illuminated the campsite. We are extremely pleased with this excellent and powerful light!
