The lid doesn't fit and was warped out of shape. The lid doesn't come attached. It has two plugs that you use to attach it, and you have to hammer it in. There is a little notch underneath that must align with the notch hole underneath. It takes someone a bit handy to fix it. But because the lid is just shoved down inside the bin, the lid was bent and warped. So the lid doesn't close properly. Also, the x-large trash bin liners don't fit. I had to stretch and tear the bag to put it on 4 corners. If you aren't going to use liners, then it isn't a big deal.Update*** I placed a heavy box on top of the lid for several days, and it now shuts properly. The bin is really nice for plastic waste because it holds sooooo much. I used to have to empty my old bin every 2-3 days. I have gone several weeks and still haven't filled this one up! Plus you don't have to bend over all the time and stuff everything into those small bins. I just lift the lid and toss in the waste. Even my husband said he is really liking it.
