Amazon Basics DisplayPort to HDMI Display Cable, Uni-Directional, 4K@60Hz, 1920x1200, 1080p, Gold-Plated Plugs, 1.8 m, Black

I bought this when I upgraded to a 4090. My previous GPU had 2 HDMI ports. The 4090 only has one. So while my main display works fine via HDMI at 4K HDR, 120Hz, my second display did not. I had a HDMI>DisplayPort cable lying around and tried it but it locked me to 1080p, and on a 4K display, 1080 looks dreadful. Looked around at adaptors and other cables, all of which had great reviews but also some negatives. So in the end I just bought the Amazon Basics DisplayPort to HDMI Display Cable, Uni-Directional, 4K@60Hz and It works great, plugged it in to my GPU and Display, detected the display correctly, allowing me to select 4K@60Hz immediately. Cable is a solid design, nothing fancy, but does the job that I needed and for a great price too. Now I don't game on this monitor as I use the 120Hz 4K display for that, this monitor is just for any side loading, browsing, YouTube etc, but the cable works great @ 4K 60Hz.

Allows me to see stuff on my monitors. 4 stars because sometimes if you even slightly touch the cable it makes the screen go blank for a couple of seconds.

Shortage of HDMI ports on my computer graphics card forced me to invest in this lead, turns out my PC and Samsung QLED TV haven't been playing properly, I assumed the Samsung tv had a rubbish display compared to my previous LG, no it was a HDMI issue, this lead circumvents it and image quality was as it should be. excellent value.4K 60Hz works perfectly so no complaints.

Recently bought a used PC from Amazon and need two screens for work. The pc has a single HDMI port and this cable allowed me to connect to second screen using Display Port to HDMI on the monitor. Works no problem and a lot cheaper than I've seen similar cables going for.

The media could not be loaded. I used this to send dp to hdmi to my TV, and used a hdmi cable to send the sound to my AV receiver. Initially, it worked well, suddenly the audio dropped out and stopped working and the output was no longer detected in the gpu, and now without a dp cable plugged in, the pc is stuck on a restart loop with artifacts on the screen when it does start. Absolutely livid, seems to have shorted my graphics card, will only be detected by the PC when the DP cable is in one of the slots, and not plugged into anything else, with a great deal of artifacting. Can't afford a new gpu, this card was unkillable and this damn cable has somehow done it. How do I get compensation for my broken card?

I bough a dozen new Dell 4k monitors for my employee workstations and didn't realise the new monitors didn't have display port input. They had 2x HDMI and 1x USB input.I thought I could simply buy a DP to USBC adapter but that's a minefield as they all tend to be unidirectional and are meant for connecting USBC devices (eg iPhone) to a DP input on a monitor, I wanted the other way. Bi-directional ones do exist but they're more expensive and seemed to get mixed reviews.I decided the best option was to revert to HDMI, there were 2x HDMI inputs and both can run 4k @60hz.These work perfectly. Full 4k resolution running at 60hz, no issues, no flickering, just what I needed.
