All you need for 15000 gallon above ground pool
After one year review. I always wait with reviews some time to completely test my purchases. This heater proved to me that it is well build and performing good. On top it is made in US by people who care. I contacted Fibropool company regarding error message with no flow code. After two emails new flow switches arrived!!! My set up may have some involvement with this problem, so I redesigned manifold to keep chlorinator inlet as far as I can of the unit. Usually I manually turned chlorinator of when pump was not running, but small amount of concentrated chlorine probably damaged flow switch anyway. I am using the pool year around in south Florida and with solar cover and heater the water is 85 degrees F all the time between November and March. I am swimming late afternoons or early evening and water is great. I am a contractor and I am definitely offering this product to all my customers.

Great first impressions
So far I’m really impressed with this unit. Delivery was fast and the heater was packed well with a lot of foam padding and came completely undamaged. Setting the unit up was easy, it took me just a couple hours to do everything including driving the 8’ grounding rod, hopefully you already have one! Electrical was simple 3 wires inside the unit and connecting a dual 20A breaker in the sub box. The heater comes with a drain plug, hose for the plug, 2x 1.5” pipe connectors, vibration pads for the feet. There are some extra items that you will need to buy besides any Sced40 PVC pipe and fittings…Dual 20A breaker……$152 16x16x4 concrete blocks if no pad is present…$12Grounding rod if not present… $16Grounding clamp and wire…$5Flexible conduit with 12awg wire …$361.5”-2” 3 way valve … $35Once everything was connected, I started the pump, let it run all the air out, flipped on the breaker and everything started working! The system is surprisingly quiet, and supposedly set and forget, when the flow detector senses that the pump has shut off it should turn off the unit. And as a final plus, FibroPool is made in USA!!UPDATE - We are on the second season of running the heater and I am very satisfied! I knew this wasn’t going to be a year round heater, but it has added several months on to our swim season. When I turned it on this spring in central Florida the daytime highs were in the 70’s and the lows were in the 50’s. It took about 4 days to bring the water temp from 65 degrees to 85 . We have a solar blanket to keep the heat in at night. For the price this is an excellent unit and I highly recommend it!!

Beats my old gas heater
We replaced our old gas pool heater with this FH270. Our inground pool holds 7500 gallons of water and it's late September. We have low humidity but still high temps 90-100 degrees and low nighttime temps. The unit took our 73-degree water to 86 in a couple days, now water temps in the morning start at 81 degrees and rises to 86 in about 4 hours. It'll only get better when I figure out that our pool will only heat to the ambient outside temps. So instead of firing the unit up at 9a to swim by 2p, I'm starting the process later at 11a when temp is higher. That should result in a much shorter period to warm the water. The unit only runs when the pump is on, and water temp is under 84 degrees. It automatically turns off after the desired water temp hits 86. Fibro pool customer service is the best I've ever had with anything! Unit came slightly damaged since it was shipped from Missouri to California, but everything was made right by Fibro pool. They're available to answer questions about installation or anything. I'm very happy with our new pool heater and Fibro Pool. I rarely write reviews fyi.

good uint
I have a 21-foot round 52-inch depth above ground pool .it takes about three day to warm up and swim in a Houston tx winter (no rain) and in the 50-degree Fahrenheit. This unit can't not overcome cold rain so plan on another couple of days before you can heat up to 90 degrees. The controller kind of acted up couple of times but turn power off and back on to reset and worked well. it cost about S 55.00 a week to run heater and that count a 1.5 hp pool pump motor running at same time and yes you have to have pool pump on the whole-time heater is on or unit will safety off. this is the second year and very happy if i can get many more year with same results of heater.

Works great!
I live in northern Alabama and over the years we’ve expanded the house and trees have grown taller and wider. I get 3-5 hrs of direct sun on my pool daily. If I get several really hot days 90• in a row I might get my water temp to 82•. I purchased this middle of August, it took less than 22 hrs to move temp from 79-84• and holds it perfectly. daily temps have been 75-88 , dropping to mid 60s at night. I had friends coming over and wanted to warm it up a bit more, heater raised temp 2degrees in about 4 hrs. Pool is 21’x4.5’ above ground. I plan on using my pool through October. Can’t tell you how much electric it uses, but it can’t be much if you keep it at the same temp. Love my pool again with the warmer water,

WARNING!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER
I tried to wait till this was resolved before leavining feed back. The unit will not heat 15k gallon pool as the description suggested. I had a technician confirm the unit was defective. One of the sensor wires broke off. I received no troubling assistance from the seller. So i returned the unit. The sell will not cover the return shipmenting cost. If you don't have a freight account with fedex it will be very expensive. It is $2550 dollars to ship it back. Amazon A-to-Z agreed to pay for the return shipment as long as the unit was defective. Which i have in writing from Amazon. I attached the photo of the defective sensor. I submitted the fedex receipt to Amazon A -to -Z and now they are telling me that they won't reimburse me. Total fruad!!! The seller has a fedex freight account which would of been way cheaper to return the item. I did receive the original purchase refund because thebunit was defective but the shipping is $2550, and I now have to fight for the shipping reimbursement. I will be seaking legal action.DO NOT BUY FROM THOS SELLER!!!!!!
