Nemesis Lockdown Board Game: The Ultimate Husband Trap
My husband's favorite game of all time is Nemesis. So of course he HAD to have Nemesis Lockdown in his collection, so like the loving wife I am, I purchased it for him. Little did I know, I found the perfect trap – I mean, game – for him! Here’s why it’s a wife’s secret weapon:Husband Magnet: This game has magnetic powers over my husband. Once he starts playing, he’s glued to the table for hours. It’s like magic, but with dice and alien invaders. Many, Many Hours of Fun (for Him): This game takes FOREVER. Like, seriously, hours upon hours. But you know what? That means I get tons of "me time" while he’s occupied with his gamey things. It’s like a mini vacation for me every time he plays. This game has become my ally in the battle for solo TV time. While he’s conquering the galaxy or whatever, I get full control of the TV remote. It’s a win-win for both of us, really.Survival Skills: My husband is now an expert in surviving alien attacks and navigating treacherous labs. It’s a valuable skill set, I’m sure, in case we ever move to Mars or face an alien invasion. Thanks, Nemesis Lockdown!Alien Encounters: If I had a dollar for every time I heard him talk about alien encounters and secret agendas, I’d be able to fund a real-life Mars mission. The enthusiasm is real, folks.Complexity Overload: I have no idea how this game works. There are so many pieces, cards, and rules that it looks like a spaceship exploded on our dining room table. But hey, he’s happy, so I’m happy.Perfect for Wife Gatherings: Need to drop off your husband for a night out with the girls? Just set up Nemesis Lockdown, and you’re guaranteed he won’t move until the game’s over. It’s like having a built-in babysitter, except he’s the one being babysat by aliens.Nerd Bonding Time: Apparently, this game is also great for bonding with his fellow nerdy friends. They all get together, speak their nerdy language, and have a blast. It’s like watching a bunch of grown men play make-believe – absolutely adorable. In conclusion, the Nemesis Lockdown Board Game is a wife’s dream come true – a husband trap disguised as entertainment. If you need some husband-free time or just want to witness pure geeky joy, look no further. Highly recommend, with a side of humor and a full fridge of beer.

Love to hate it, Hate to love it
Yup, this expansion is triggering...but in a great way! It adds quite a bit of chaos to an already complicated game, but we have a lot of fun when we decide to play with this expansion. Nemesis is our favorite game to play and this expansion really turns up the heat for difficulty. The pieces that come in the expansion meet the same quality of the base game, but my favorite feature of the expansion is that it's easier to put back into the box when you're done playing! Way easier than the base game. Overall, this is a worthy addition if you have the base game.

Damaged box
The first one I ordered came with a severely damaged box at first glance. I asked for a refund, and even though the box looked seemingly fine, when I opened it, the base box had three damaged corners.

Cool theme but complicated rules.
This game is what experience gamers called “crunchy”. The rulebook is pretty hard to follow because it requires a lot of cross referencing to various scenarios. It doesn’t flow like a lot of rule books in that they teach you from a beginner perspective until you get your feet wet. Nemesis lockdown doesn’t really do that. You jump right in and sort of have to memorize a good portion of the rulebook before you can even play. While, it’s a cool theme and I think will be a fun game eventually, we spent about three hours trying to get this game going and still didn’t figure out many of the mechanics. This is one that’s going to take a good six hours of reading, play testing, and probably watching YouTube videos to really get the hang of.
