Absolutely brilliant!!
I found it frustrating that in this wireless world, my car still only supported CarPlay with a cable. I understand wired connections can be more stable and also deliver power to the device, but for shorter journeys or if you are in and out of the car a lot, plugging in a cable every time does get a little tedious. This little device fixes all of that, I have used it daily for over a month, it's super easy to set up and once it's done, I haven't had to do anything again, just leave it in the car and the phone reconnects every time I get back in (if the car's source is set to CarPlay). It's also super tidy because I don't have cables hanging about everywhere. I'm a Dad of 2 (so short trips in the Dad Taxi), I commute to work (about 45 minutes each way) and occasionally have longer drives of multiple hours. I haven't had any issues with the device not connecting or lagging when being used constantly for multiple hours, even while streaming music and navigating with Google Maps. I technically wouldn't even need to take my phone out of my bag or pocket to use it, but I have a MagSafe dashboard mount which keeps my phone topped up with charge. Due to the fact I normally always mount my phone to the MagSafe charger, I can't comment on whether the wireless connection causes any additional battery drain, however, I suspect it would be no more than a regular Bluetooth connection to the car stereo. All CarPlay functions work just like they would with a cable, Phone, Message Apps, Music Apps & Navigation Apps etc. I've tried everything that I see on the display and haven't found a problem with any of them. I was originally a little sceptical about the reliability of the Wireless connection because I'd previously had a Hire Car which included Wireless CarPlay support directly to the cars built-in system and after just 15 minutes of navigating with Google Maps, the display turned a weird colour and I could barely see what was being shown on the display. I have not had those issues with this device.Occasionally if I am in and out of the car on short Dad Taxi duties or popping to the shops, my car stereo asks me to confirm the connection to my phone because it thinks there is already an existing connection to a different device, but it's a simple tap on the display to confirm and it hasn't really bothered me. It's still much more convenient than fishing around for a cable.I would like to have the ability to rename the device, or for it to pass through my phone's name, because if I connect my phone directly to the car with a cable, my phone's name is displayed on the screen. When I connect with the wireless adapter, the name of the dongle is displayed. This is only a minor thing and I don't really notice it anymore, but it would be a nice update and I'm sure if it is possible, it can be changed with a software update.By default, it has a regular USB-A connection but it did include a USB-C adapter. It also includes a sticky pad to keep it secure if your CarPlay port is not suitably placed somewhere for it to rest. Mine is inside my centre console, so I stuck it down inside to stop it from sliding or rattling around.I am so glad I bought this little device as it has made using CarPlay so much more enjoyable.

Transformative Car Experience with the CarPlay Adapter
I recently purchased the CarPlay Adapter for my vehicle, and I must say, it has completely transformed my driving experience. Installation was a breeze; the adapter seamlessly integrated with my car's existing infotainment system. The connection is consistently stable, and the audio quality is crystal clear, whether I'm listening to music, making calls, or using navigation apps. One of the standout features is the wireless connectivity. It's incredibly convenient not having to plug in my iPhone every time I get into the car. The adapter automatically connects to my phone as soon as I start the engine, and I'm ready to go. The user interface is intuitive and mirrors my iPhone's screen, making it easy to navigate through apps using the car's touchscreen or voice commands. The adapter supports a wide range of apps, from Apple Maps and Google Maps for navigation to Spotify and Apple Music for entertainment. It also integrates seamlessly with Siri, allowing me to send messages, make calls, and control music hands-free, which is a huge plus for safety while driving.I've noticed a significant improvement in the overall convenience and enjoyment of my daily commutes. Being able to access my favorite apps and features from my iPhone directly on the car's display without any hassle is a game-changer. The build quality of the adapter is also commendable, with a compact and durable design that doesn't clutter the dashboard. In conclusion, this CarPlay Adapter is an excellent investment for anyone looking to enhance their in-car entertainment and connectivity. It offers a perfect blend of convenience, functionality, and safety. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their driving experience.
