Works well, fairly accurate, be careful with the power inlet on the back
I needed a constant-current power supply for something I was working on, but wasn't sure how much use I would get out of one afterwards. Not wanting to spend a lot of money, I came across this supply that not only has the constant current capability I needed at the time but also a constant voltage function as well. This is the perfect size to sit with the rest of my bench equipment and looks right at home sitting on top of my bench DMMs.While the functionality of the unit is as advertised, I did have to knock off 1 star. That is for the standard IEC power inlet on the back. I at first thought I had a DOA supply but found that some IEC power cables are very loose in the socket on this supply, thus not making a good connection. I can work around it, so not a reason for me to return the supply.

PLEASE READ!!!
Works great, I'd like to say if you've read the reviews saying that you can't set the amps and it does it for you, well that's now how electricity works!!! CURRENT = VOLTS / OHMS. This means current is determined by volt / ohms.NOT A DIAL THAT MADE TO LIMIT IT. So when the amp dial is set to 0.5 amps that simply means it will give the volts its set to in till the ohms or load is passed 0.5 amps then lower the voltage to mathematically keep the amps at 0.5.I hope that make sense, and if it doesn't, just trust someone who know electricity. It's a great product.

DAF DIY Electroplating
I purchased this unit a year ago for a DIY Electroplating setup. When I observed many DIY folks online trying to accomplish the same thing using Batteries, I figured that for the price & listed capabilities (not that I comprehended them) I’d get it.A year later & I have ZERO COMPLAINTS! Only reason I don’t give it a 5-Star rating , is I’m only looking at its performance for the DIY Electroplating setup I use it for. If you’re looking for a rectifier aka: Power supply unit for a Hone Hobby DIY Electroplating setup “BUY THIS UNIT NOW” !!!!

Great little supply for the money
I was hesitant to buy a cheaper bench power supply, but the huge pile of glowing reviews swayed me. I am quite happy with it. Works perfectly. Only issue I had was with very low voltage - I can't get a stable output under about 0.9V.Had to whip up a little voltage divider circuit to generate 300mV and 600mV stable for oscilloscope calibration but it was able to handle the rest of the cal range up to 17V without a problem. Comes with a decent set of output cables - banana jack with alligator clips.Wish all my equipment had this awesome blacked-out finish - I love it - looks great.

Immediate impressions are good!
My first round of testing has me quite impressed for the price. I will update my review later if something changes, but it appears that this will work well for low voltage tinkering (arduinos, pis, etc).My initial voltage readings by range:0.0v - 0.7v: Pretty spotty. Voltage was mostly correct, but would waver up and down a LOT. I wouldn't use it for anything below 0.7v (not sure this would ever come up anyway).0.7v - 3.3v: Good, but a little off, within 1% - 2% of expected voltage. Should be perfectly fine unless you need very exact voltage for some reason (and if you do, don't buy a $30 bench power supply).3.3v+: Spot on, usually exactly on the voltage or very, very close.
