Worth every penny, highly recommended to protect the pool filter esp a costly sand filter to have as a prefilter. Amazed by ho much this thing will capture, not just algae but twigs, leaves, absolutely prolongs the functionality of a filter and heavy duty for sure but had to buy a second only because a relative stepped on it while walking around in the pool - maybe going to add some noodles attached to zip ties to keep it afloat as it will sink with enough weight accumulated from debris. I highly recommend this though, perfect fit for standard pool hoses and can be a little too tight of a seal when opening the lid to clean it gotta tap it with a hammer but that doesn't affect the main seal the blue top seals an inner seal which is also heavy duty but might need a flat head ti pry it a but but much easier to open comparatively. I love the product overall, this product really is amazing - having replaced sand in a filter this is well worth having to prolong the filtration and offering that additional peace of mind and added protection.

Received Leaf Catcher in 2 days. It did not come with the O-ring, and is therefore totally unusable. How soon can you get me an O-ring?Update May 5, 2025 - I got the O-ring, installed it, attached the unit in-line to the hose and let it run. It has been running for over a week now and it works VERY WELL. So I am changing my 1 star review to a 5 star review for both the company's speed in solving my problem and the excellent functionality of the Leaf Catcher.

It was a roaring pile of steaming cow pucky. Seep's air faster than it moves water so it won't drop below the surface. Just sits there and hisses. Has no o-ring whatsoever, how could they possibly think this would work. The ad doesn't show it but this is 50% smaller than similar products. The low grade plastic is likely not UV resistant. If I kept this it would disintegrate in my pool. Taking it back to return it at a local pickup site.AmazonWhy do you list crappy products that don't work? What a waste of time.

Great value for the price, better than a more expensive one I had. I like the hard plastic strainer, much better than a net bag.

I put in my self propelled shark vacuum and it works great! Now I don’t have to mess with trying to get the cap off my pump filter because it was always a struggle. Very pleased thus far.

This works for catching large debris. You will still be sending anything smaller than about 2mm (sand, small seeds, decayed leaf debris, etc.) to your pool pump/filter, so be aware.A fine mesh bag comes with the original purchase, which you can insert inside the coarse-screened plastic basket, but it will break very quickly, and they do not sell a replacement, so don't get used to it.I do still use this. At least I'm not sending whole leaves into the pool pump.

Keeps from cleaning the strainer basket at pump - big time saver and keeps large debris from clogging hose.
