These puppies were certainly assembled both quickly and easily. That being said, if you are a single female new homeowner like myself that recognizes that your gutters need to be cleaned out and for some ridiculous reason you think you can do this job yourself, these will certainly help you keep your downspouts open.If you have been like me and looked at your gutters and said "that's not that high, I don't need to call in professionals, I can handle this job myself!!" then you need these!! On my first ascension to the top of my new Telescoping Ladder (also bought on Amazon) I realized quickly, that the view from the top is much different than the view from the ground looking up.Since I spent the majority of my time white knuckling the ladder clinging to it to keep from plummeting to my death it made it rather difficult to carry what I needed up to the gutters. This gutter guard however, thanks to its streamlined designed sits nicely in the betwixt my "ladies" as I ascended the ladder for the install. Very easy to drop in the edges of the gutter to provide coverage. Would highly recommend!!

Kind of flimsy. It took two of us to assemble it and used zip ties to hold it together/in place. I don’t think I paid much for it. Jury is still out whether it will prevent a clogged downspout. So far, so good.

I did not have the funds to put on an entire length of gutter guard so I opted to try these products. When they arrived, they were flat in the package and needed to be snap together so I was concerned they were going to be a poorly manufactured and something with break. Turns out they snap together easily and my husband and I quickly place them on the top of our downspouts on our roof. We didn't even need to get on the roof, we just got a ladder and cleaned up and block them in. We've checked them to her three times and there is a substantial amount of debris prior to the unit so it is working properly and now it's nothing goes down the downspout and clocks back.

We have some mature trees that drop leaves and seeds that sometimes plug our downspouts and cause the water to overflow in the gutter. I thought I'd try these to see if they would at least keep the gutters from becoming plugged. About a month after installing them we get a good rain and I see that water is coming over the sides of the gutters instead of going down the downspout. Next day I check the gutters and see that they are full of seeds with small trees growing out of them. In the past those seeds would have gone into the downspout and maybe plugged it, maybe not. Instead they got stopped by the gutter guard and guaranteed that each gutter got plugged.In a way, it does what it says it does: Prevents the downspout pipe from becoming clogged. However, it doesn't solve the problem of making sure water can run down the downspout and in my case made the problem worse.

These did the job but I feel like I have to have two per downspout to fully cover the hole. It would be great if these came 1" wider and a inch bigger diameter tube that goes in the downspout for the 5" gutters.

I purchased these to help prevent my downspouts from getting clogged however I should have checked my gutters and the placement of my downspouts in the gutters. My down spouts were installed close to the edge of the gutter. The drain spout on these wedges is roughly an inch from the back of the wedge so I was not able to get the drain on the wedge to line up with the down spout in my gutters. If it lined up with the down spout i believe they would work fine. The other thing I found was that with the hidden hangers that my gutters are hung with you may need to remove and reinstall the hangers near the down spout at a new location.
