MYNT3DProfessional Printing 3D Pen with OLED Display

I got this pen to fix over 30 small 3d printed boxes used for adding desiccant beads with 3d filament when bagging them to absorb moisture.. I did not notice that all of those boxes had a section in the corner that wasn't printed correctly.. so decided to get this pen after reading reading reviews it does work with PETG filament. I used 190 C then decreased it down to 185 C and I think 180 C may work as well.I have other stuff that broke on me and I'll be using the 3d pen to fix them.Not really noisy .. and i think It takes some practice to use it .. very light weight and ergonomic .. awesome qualityShall anything changes, I'll updateBut for now, totally recommend it... 👌

Purchased as a gift for my granddaughter. She has so much fun creating things. She made dice, cars, etc. so many things you can make.

Great gift for my child. Depending on your child I do recommend supervision. I suggest you but extra filament of various colors to keep the fun going. Overall I’m happy with the purchase.

Surprise gift that my 11 year old loves. Small and fun for his creative mind. A little messy if he doesn't clean up, but still worth the fun.

Pretty great honestly! Throw some 20$ 1.75mm Pla filament in your cart and have fun. I takes a bit of a learning curve but just think of yourself has a magical hot glue gun and look up tutorials and it’s actually pretty fun. Crack and door or window for ventilation. Don’t touch the tip of the pen- it’s hot. Try drawing a template on paper and covering with scotch tape for a good surface to work off of. If you want to make things but clay always either feels like melted butter or a rock- and your work always gets squished in your hands (me, this was me lol) you may really like this. No issues so far

So far it meets my expectations, but the last two stars will require some additional use and experimentation to earn.First off: I bought it and some generic black PLA to use, since the included ABS can produce toxic fumes and I'm not ready or inclined to mess with potentially toxic material. It will run off my cheapo USB battery packs to melt and extrude the PLA. It MAY require a better battery pack to reach the higher temperatures to consistently melt the included ABS. The pen DID reach ABS melting temperature on battery when I momentarily set it there to clear the ABS factory test material stuck in it on arrival (the fact they test the pens before shipping is appreciated).Specifically, I set the pen to the recommended ABS temperature, immediately reduced it to PLA temp as soon as it reached it, and THEN fed the PLA into the pen until it extruded the loosened ABS. I figured I should explain this process in case other PLA users are concerned as to how to clear the ABS material prior to switching to PLA.The pen seems to automatically shut down after a minute or two without the extrusion button held down or locked to auto extrude, helping to prevent accidental damage to anything it might be resting on if you forget about it. I noticed motor noises when I would let go of the button that seemed to indicate an auto retraction process was going on, intended to reduce stringing, which is a feature many advanced users appreciate. I should note the autoretraction does not benefit PLA use as much as ABS, but Im glad it's there.The pen is slimmer than many out there, although still kinda thick if your not used to 3D pens. Part of the reason is because of the lack of internal battery, but I find the USB power cord to be superior because A: an internal battery can go bad after 3 years and make the pen worthless. B: The external battery pack support means you can switch batteries for longer projects. C: The pen is going to have the filament sticking out of it ANYWAY so a power cord sticking out with it is not going to bother me personally unless theres a chance the pen tip can melt the cable when it's hot.My only major complain is the pen does have a slightly cheap feeling to it, particularly on the speed slider, but as long as it runs when I pull it off the shelf every month or two for the next couple years, Ill be happy.

Great fun activity. With a little bit of practice, she will be making great designs.
