Q: This species of spruce is native to the cooler moist northwest. How will it do in the hot¹ humid region of mid atlantic?

Does not do well in dry and/or Clay soil. Nor hot western Kentucky temps.

Q: how tall is this 1 year plant?

The plant was about 3-4 inches when I received it. It never did grow and sadly died after a few months of intensive care.

Q: Can this plant get full sun

Qualified response. Plants survived summer in full sun in USDA Zone 5 with no overhead shade. I might not try like treatment in another zone. Example: USDA Zone 9, or somewhere with extreme, sustained heat. My plants arrived as little more than saplings that I don't believe would have survived high summer temps.
