The BEST.
Tiptree is simply the best. Superior to ANY other brand. I use it for cake fillings, icings and they're ALL absolutely divine with whipped cream, cool whip (toast/scones). Nothing compares to the quality and ingredients of these products.

Strawberry jam restored to its glory
I love this jam. It's finally restored to what I remember from childhood. I don't know why there seems to be a concerted effort to ruin every wonderful food by corporations. I would think "market forces" would produce better things we'd pay for, not cheaper things that nevertheless go up in price.Dump the robber baron's solidified water and corn syrup with meh strawberries... and switch. Seriously, borrow money if necessary, but don't waste another dollar on the junk elsewhere. Jam is special and should be sweet. This jam is chunky and very sweet with an intense strawberry flavor and real sugar. It's not watered down one bit. I'm not sure if it has seeds, I'd have to go check. If so, I didn't notice it.I did have a problem with one shipment, but it wasn't the jars. Some other thing broke and there was broken glass all over my amazon box. Nothing was broken, but I couldn't use it without danger of cutting myself. I'm surprised it was delivered that way. Probably a robot error, any human would've noticed it.

Too sweet, too brown, first one came broken and leaking.
I had high hopes for this Strawberry Preserve, Little Scarlet. I thought with the small round strawberries, they were some variety of wild strawberry OR something very similar. In the US, store bought berries are huge, flavorless and taste nothing like their wild cousins! Anyways, maybe Little Scarlet on its own DOES taste close to wild strawberries, but I honestly could not even taste or discern "strawberry" flavor at all! All I got was sugary, syrupy, sticky sweet jam. Also, it was not a deep or vibrant red as the advertised photo shows! I got 2 jars - first one arrived broken, broken seal, leaking and brown. I figured when it broke, it oxidized and turned brown. I didn't try it, but reported it to Amazon, who promptly sent me a new jar. Jar #2 was sealed, not leaky or sticky, well packed, etc. BUT, it too was BROWN!!! WTH? Some fruits and berries change with age, or depending on ripeness when picked, etc. I gave it a shot anyways. THRICE! Just too sweet to enjoy. Reminded me of a big brand of jams and jellies I recently got in Raspberry, which was too sweet to taste the raspberries, and was too dark to look appetizing. :/Maybe if I could get a FRESH jar, it'd be better? But since it's imported, not "cheap", and I'm guessing takes a while to get to the US, I'm guessing this is not an option, and you get what you get. Luck of the draw! One thing I did like (or love? had I been able to taste them) was the WHOLE strawberries in the preserve/jam/spread. Smaller than a dime, round and plump, just like the wild berries we find in the woods in NE MN!All in all, if you have tooth sensitivity, cavities, root canals without crowns (crap dental coverage), I'd suggest skipping this. If you prefer more fruit & berries flavor or just overall, go to your local co-op (or maybe even your local grocery store), and grab a jar Crofters organic "just fruit" (green cap) line. It's not expensive, comes in every flavor imaginable, and is always excellent! I'm not affiliated with them or any jam brands, but I tried the raspberry one first (years ago), and it looked and tasted IDENTICAL to my late Swedish-Finnish grandma's homemade raspberry jam! Then I got blueberry, which tasted IDENTICAL to Grandma's blueberry pie filling! YUM! And strawberry, which is my least favorite berry, is even good from them!As for Tiptree, it looks fancy, costs $$$ (in the jam world), but just didn't stack up to other domestic affordable brands. I DO have a jar of Tiptree Black Currant that I haven't tried yet, but maybe it will be better? I'll review it as soon as I try it, but for now I've got a fridge door shelf of various flavors of other jams and spreads to get through before I open a new one!NOTE: I am a bonafide "super tasted" and "super smeller", meaning I taste and smell things that most other people don't, so my experience may be more extreme than others' of this product. Take what I say with a grain of salt, but I think we'd all be better off with a lot less sugar in our diets - save it for candy & desserts - and wish more food brands would get in board! Or use alternative natural sugar substitutes & sweeteners! Monk fruit, erythritol and stevia are all great options!!! :)
