Less mess, great trim
Finally a trimmer that keeps me from making a mess of the bathroom. This really does a great job of catching all the trimmed hair when I use it.The trimmer had nice adjustments for the gate and the vacuum feature is why I bought it. I’ve been using it for almost a month without having to charge it so the battery life is great. The only issue is the vacuum area does make it a bit tough for the trimmer head to reach into corners, like the mustache hairs just below your nose. The trimmer handles my facial hair well and it certainly catches most of the trimmings. It says 95% and it seems to live up to it. I still put down a towel but I no longer have to wipe down the entire sink area after trimming and the catch pod is easy to empty.Huge improvement over my old trimmer.

Clever but bulky. Hard to be precise.
I have a larger corded trimmer with a vacuum that I love. I thought for sure it would be brilliant to have that feature in a beard trimmer. Unfortunately, the vacuum opening makes it difficult to be precise. I’m not dropping stars for that, though as it is probably just a matter of learning how to maneuver with it. I am dropping a star because the vacuum misses a lot.

Love how it vacuums up the cut hair. I use it to trim my beard.

Both Good and Bad Reviews are Accurate
This cordless beard trimmer is an unusual product because I've found that most of the reviews here, good or bad, are accurate. The trimmer seems sturdy yet is sufficiently light weight for comfortable use, with or without the power cord.Another plus for the trimmer is that it easy to use (though edging is a bit challenging). The vacuum is powerful which makes for easy clean-up.Unfortunately, the trimmer has some major design flaws:1. The beard guide is flimsy and easy to break. Also, because the guide is flimsy it's challenging to get an even beard length. The key is to use a light touch.2. The trimmer guide is adjustable. Sadly, at least for me, I couldn't read the setting numbers without a magnifying glass.3. While the vacuum works very well, the collection container is tiny. In my case, I have to empty the container at least twice per session. To clean the container is annoying because you have to first remove the beard guide. Given how flimsy the guide is, I suspect that this routine will shorten the life of the guide. Not long ago, a number of well-known brands made vacuum trimmers. Today, not so much. In my opinion, there are no high-quality vacuum trimmers being made. Despite its many flaws, I still had enough confidence to buy the Remington instead of one of the others. After a couple of uses, I'm reasonably content and find the trimmer to be of adequate value.

The sliding adjusteable head is great
I wasn't sure how well the adjustable head would work, but has a ton of length options built in with just that sliding head, which make it unnecessary to have all of those different head attachments that clutter up your space that so many of the other ones have. Going down to a 2 is just the smallest amount of stubble, probably good for the 5'oclock shadow, or maybe even a little short for that. I do wish it had come with a nose hair attachment, that is one piece I miss from my older device. The vacuum has worked well, which is a big reason for getting this. I was a bit hesitant, as the opening for the catching compartment is pretty open, but so far I haven't notice anything falling out, even as it starts to fill up pretty well.

Falls apart after warranty expires
I liked this trimmer at first, but MAN does it have issues toward the end of its warranty period.First, I like the adjustable trim guard and the swappable heads. I also like how easy the vacuum chamber is to clean, and it catches a decent amount of hair. Additionally, battery life and retention are also pretty good; I only really need to charge it a few times a year. This is where the positives end.Materials: I'm not one to shy away from cheap or chromed plastic, but the kind of rubber they use for the front panel on this trimmer is unacceptable. The glue that was holding it on gave up leaving two rubber strips dangling near the trimming head to dry up and crack off.Maintenance: This trimmer needs a lot of it. The package claims "self sharpening" but when it gets to the point where it needs to sharpen, the trimmer gets painfully loud when near the ears. It was pretty quiet when it was brand new, but now I need to oil each blade before every use. The detail head also eats trimmings and deposits them inside its housing instead of into the vacuum chamber, which also clogs easily with the detail head. Cleaning the regular blade is somewhat annoying but doable. Cleaning the detail head is pretty much impossible; it's only a matter of time before it fills completely with trimmings and jams up forever. Mine has certainly slowed down over the course of my owning it.I would say this is fine as a travel trimmer that you're not going to be upset about losing if it wasn't for the price. It's way overpriced for what you get. Look elsewhere.

Solid!
Not perfect, but after a year of use I'd say solid buy. Catches much of trimmings but def not all. Size of guard makes it a bit of a challenges to do mustache/angles, and not ideal for trimming w/o guard, but overall not bad. Don't know of anything better so I'll take it!
