🦜 Unleash the Joy of Flight in Style!
Choose a right size cage for your bird When you choose the cage for your bird, please keep the size of your bird in mind. It is always better to buy the largest cage you possibly can for your bird. Keeping a bird in a cage that's too small can lead to undesirable behaviors such as screaming, biting, psychological disorders, and feather plucking, to name a few. A good cage should be large enough for your bird to walk around comfortably, and fully extend and flap her wings. Consult your avian veterinarian for recommended cage sizes for your particular one before you purchase this cage.

Perfect for Jenday
I considered a number of cages before deciding on this one. I love the elegance of a dome top. I am writing this extensive review to help others out since there seems to be minimal information and photos. If you're anything like me you hate it when you can't find good info on something you want to buy, ESPECIALLY something so expensive and important. With all the reviews saying theirs was bent, broken, and missing parts I was prepared for the worst. The product arrived in just three days, a very nice surprise seeing as I ordered five days before December 25th. When the boxes came to my door they were battered, slashed, and had numerous holes. Lucky for me nothing was damaged! Maybe it was a fluke, or maybe the company has since gotten better with quality control, but I only had ONE barely bent bar! I bent it back to normal with my fingers, no pliers needed. One of the food bowl holders is slightly bent too which makes it hard to get the bowl in and out and since it's impossible for me to bend it back into a perfect circle I can't really help that...this bowl is what I use for pellets since it doesn't need cleaned as often. Since I can bend it with my fingers the wire gauge will probably withstand up to a small breed of Cockatoo but not much larger. Greys and Amazons will probably be fine in this unless they are excessive bar chewers. Though I would not recommend they be in such a small cage.ASSEMBLY: The cage came with no instructions but I was able to figure it out with zero effort. The cage as a whole took me three hours to put together by myself. General construction was less than 45 mins but I had issues installing the dome roof, wheels, and seed guard. The dome top was confusing. It comes in two parts and a very awkward area that needs two screws in it. Most of my time spend on this was slowly screwing in the screws because it was at such a strange angle. The wheels were a similar problem. Two of them went in with no resistance but the other two took me five minutes each of torquing my wrist to get them in.The seed guard was a nightmare to put together! I'm not sure if mine actually was bent but I had to hammer it in places to get the bolts to fit correctly. I had to bolt three of the sides together then wrestle it around the cage and bolt the last side. I was bending the heck out of the screw areas but it came out fine and nothing broke. Nothing anchors it to the cage either, it just kind of slides around a little if you bump it.ACCURATE CAGE SPECIFICATIONS: Usable cage space is 43"H x 27.5"L x 19,5"D. It is 26"D and 34"L with seed guard. Total dimensions 61"H x 34"L x 26"D. There is 14" clearance under the cage for storage. Bar spacing is 5/8". The door is 14"L x 28.5"H with a tension spring lock. It includes installation parts for an optional slide over latch at the top of the door to keep the door from being opened by the more lock savvy escapist birds. I have no use for this so I did not install it.BEWARE: At the bottom of this cage there are 1" spaces in the bars, these won't really be a problem for most birds if you use the seed guard as it blocks most of it. If you don't plan to use the seed guard then this large opening spans the bottom of your cage. The door also has two 1" spaces under it that a smaller bird could either slip through or get stuck in and injured. This is important to consider and I would be nervous putting something the size of a Green Cheek Conure or smaller in this without blocking these spaces. Even with my Jenday this is a slight hazard. Thankfully most birds don't like spending time on the cage floor anyway.INCLUDED ACCESSORIES: The food bowls are ok. They seem to be very thin stainless steel, I could bend them if I tried. A larger bird may be able to dent or bend them. The bowls are 2" deep and 4" across, pretty big but not too big for my Jenday. The holders for the bowls are designed in a way that you can twist them to lock them down. It works via two little bumps on either side of the bowl and small indents on the metal holder to accommodate them. So there is no worry your bird will pull them out unless they figure out how to twist and turn them up. The easy access doors for the two bowls are just a simple sliding lock, they are 6.5"L x 5"H, so many birds will be able to fit through them or potentially get stuck, something to keep in mind while you've got them open. The natural wood perch that came with my cage is nothing like Amazon's photos. It is actually fairly ugly wood, it's a smoky grey color and smells faintly like Mesquite. Though I am not sure exactly what type of wood it really is, it fits the cage perfectly and is a pretty large 1.5" diameter. I really wish it had been that beautiful darker wood as pictured. In addition, the wheels move smoothly across my thicker carpet with ease. I do not believe you can lock these wheels.PICTURES: The pictures I've included are the cage right after I finished assembling it with my bird in it. A photo of the latch so you know what kind it actually has. A photo of the included wood perch up close. A photo of one of the bowls and holder with its indents for locking it into the holder. And the last two are my bird enjoying his new amazing affordable mansion!

Great cage for price, BUT ...
The cage is an excellent size for my African Grey, and she took to it within minutes. We did put it together in front of her so she knew it was not a monster that she needed to attack, or be afraid of.That being said, putting the cage together was fairly easy except for the screw placement! There are NO directions on which screws to use where. I still don't know if we have them placed properly but it seems to be working as it should. Not all the screws are stainless either, which I find very disappointing. The perch is ok but it isn't in position solidly and it slides back and forth. That is dangerous for my bird. I do not like this at all and will be looking for a different perch soon. We did manage to get it to sit and not move by placing it (forcing it really) under the bar rungs instead of in the section cut out on each end of the perch. It is not moving right now and will be ok for a while but I will still be replacing it.One of the bars to prevent your bird from lifting it's bowl out of the holder was bent so bad I couldn't get the bowl into it until we fiddled with getting it back into shape the best we could. The seed tray does not attach to the cage, it is just put together around it and it rests on a lower bar of the cage. The tray also doesn't meet well in one of the corners, no matter which position we tried to connect them together. You can see that in the bottom right corner of full image and in the zoomed image as well. I will need to take it off and be sure that is to the backside of the cage so no one gets hurt if they rub into that area. Also concerning the corners of the seed tray ... they have sections that are open and allow seeds to slip down into them, and onto the floor. See image 3. That's the best I could get it to show in the photo. *To be fair, please note ... a messy bird will always be a messy bird no matter how much you do to deter that behavior. Mine flings her food out if she wants something on the bottom, pellets, seed, veggies, she's indiscriminate and it comes with the territory ... But, she's my brat and I love her.Overall, the cage is sturdy, solid and very doable with a couple minor tweaks.NOTE for manufacturer if you're reading this ... PLEASE provide instruction for proper screw placement and a safer perch placement.

Misleading ad, undrilled cage..
Third party seller. Horrible to deal with. Cage is listed on frt Ad and shows a bigger size then it really is. You must scroll through to see actual size of inside cage. Definitely to small for a macaw. The holes of the cage were not drilled out and the return was a nightmare. Took a month to get all my money back. The seller only gave me half and charged a restocking fee, Amazon stepped up and paid the balance. Seller acted as if I did something wrong not to accept his misleading undrilled cage. Be careful here..

Great cage. Needs better instruction.
This is a great cage for my Mexican green conure. I had to have help putting it together because the instructions were so vague. Reading the comments and the reviews beforehand I learned that the instructions weren't that great. That's the only thing stopping it from having a 5 star.
