Q: Does this heater have a chemical smell and does it have to be aired out before using?

I let it sit outside for a few hours, just in case, but as far as i can tell there is no smell.

Q: what is BTU in this model?

1 watt is about 3.4 btu/hr This is rated at 1500 watts, so about 5120 BTU/HR (100%,oad efficiency - no energy loss). To get 5120 BTU's delivered you have to run it an hour. If you run it 1-1/2 hours you'll get about 7560 BTU's A furnace in an "average" (2000-3000 Sq ft in zone 8) home is about 100,000 btu/hr give or take.

Q: Are the control's digital? Can I use this with a timer?

No they aren't digital and there is no timer but it does have a thermostat so when it reaches the desired temp in the room it shuts off until the temperature drops then it comes back on

Q: What is the height with the wheels on?
