Koon Chun Bean Sauce, 13-Ounce Jars (Pack of 3)

This is the genuine article I have been using last 30 years. We mix it with various combinations of ginger, garlic, scallion, ketsup, on fish, poultry and pork. Cooking them by steaming, pan fry , roasting. This sauce doesn’t fail. It brings out the best of flavors in whatever meat and poultry you are cooking. It is the same ones sold in Asian markets. For some reason, there’s a run on Asian sauce during pandemic and we were happy find them at Amazon for a reasonable price. Will restock when my current supply is down to one jar.

Despite being wrapped in bubble plastic there was sauce on the outside of the jar. I dared not unwrap the jar in fear of broken glass so I requested a refund. Unfortunately this was the only reasonably priced offer for this product. The product itself is excellent. I have been using Koon Chun sauces for over 40 years but I no longer live in an area where they are readily available.

Order arrived in great time but the jars are broken. Disappointed; no refund or replacement available.

Overall it’s okay

Excellent but pricy compared to getting it in a neighborhood Chinese grocer. However, not every neighborhood Chinese grocer will have this. Most don't carry this style o bean sauce and many have just the ground version and not this whole bean version. This is indispensable for making Char Siu, Chinese BBQ pork.

Best tasting, well made, great ingredients... for Thai chicken egplant made perfect!

My local 'oriental grocery' stores don't carry this item. I tried other bean sauces but they were too salty when used in the amounts needed to make 'Peking Meat Sauce Noodles' (Zhajiangmian).

Bottles were broken and sauce was leaking
