Works as advertised - with some reservations - SEE LATEST .
I am not good with technology - so i was somewhat apprehensive about getting this camera - some of the reviewers use technical jargon [ very off-putting ] . However , i managed to set this camera up in about 45 minutes ..... and it works perfectly . Have had it operating for about 2 days - the push notifications are pretty well instant [ maybe a second or 2 delay ] - good alert on my iPhone , and i can view within a couple of seconds . Very easy to take a photo or video clip . Image quality is excellent , as is night vision . Note , i have Sky Q dual band router - the initial connection to the camera took me 3 or 4 minutes - the rest of the time was set up / getting used to the controls . Very pleased , and much more confident - will now get an outside camera - build up my home security gradually . Will review again in a few months , and if still working well , will upgrade to 5 stars . UPDATE 4 days later - loses connection occasionally , with bigger time lags - i have it about 20 ft from the router - it is much closer than my 2 Sky boxes , which have no problems with the WIFI connection . On Sky app , it says STRONG signal against all devices . Also , camera poor in a bright room [ silhouettes people ..... and it is NOT positioned in direct sunlight ] . 2 weeks in - a lot of trouble setting up email alerts - finally resolved with very good help from Reolink staff - now takes a about a 20 second video when motion detected and sends on email - permanent record without monthly plans etc ..... as well as the push notifications . Very pleased with the camera/service - 4 stars because not strong connection unless within 20ft of the router .

No web server
Most IP cameras have a web server, so you can access them via a browser. This one doesn't; it assumes you are happy to use a phone or tablet, or run a Reolink app on Windows. So getting images and clips off this and onto a Linux laptop is clumsy and inefficient. Otherwise, it's a nice camera; good image, good night vision, good motion detection, useful two-way audio. The above was not intended to be a negative review, but Reolink appear determined to make sure I am happy with my purchase, and have offered me a replacement camera, which does have the web interface, and at a very favourable price. The exchange process was very quick and completely hassle free. Thank you Reolink for the excellent service.

Great value, good product, no subscription fees!
I have a mix of reolink and hikvision cameras on my network, they support onvif for my NVR and are happy to do it at the same time as being accessed via the reolink service which is online but doesn't ask for a subscription to be paid. The mobile app is best when setting up but for all the options you're gonna want the desktop app to configure them. If you'd putting it inside a window, disable the IR illumination leds otherwise they'll reflect off the glass and blind it at night. The night vision is good, not as good as the expensive hik vision gear but plenty good enough. The pan and tilt works nicely. The audio pickup is decent. I have no idea how this would handle being outside, i'm guessing poorly, hence using different kit outside. That said, i've 3 of these and the reolink doorbell and i even bought my folks the doorbell because they're kinda great for the money. Had these for years, working solidly.

Great video camera
Great little security camera. Easy to set up. I have it plugged in for ease of access. Though you can have it outside, my camera is on the bedroom window sill upstairs.

Exceeded expectations, works with Synology NAS/Surveillance Station
It was time to upgrade from some cheap D-Link IP cameras that were running well below HD and that I had had for years. I read some good reviews on these and found them in the compatible list for Surveillance Station on my Synology NAS so thought I'd go for it. Bought one to start, just to see what I was getting but bought a second a couple of days later; very happy with these cameras.Pros:Compact body – 8cm x 8cm x10.5cmNo external antenna sticking out [and it doesn't appear to affect wi-fi connection range].Very clear image at lower settings, fantastic at 4MP.Works with Synology NAS/Surveillance Station [I'm running v8.2].Easy set up.Doesn’t get too warm.Very quiet when operating PTZAbility to turn off Infrared LED so can be used through glass at night; works really well if you have street lighting.Ability to turn off front, blue power LED.Long power cable – 3 metres.SD card slot [takes up to 64GB]Discrete mount supplied [with screws and plugs] for wall or ceiling/under cupboard mounting.App. is full of features and settings, well laid out, easy to follow.Date, time and camera name displayed.Motion detection is very good, either with the camera's own settings or set via Surveillance Station.Cons:No ethernet connection - would have been nice but not essential as app. does all you need set up wise.No direct web interface - had this on my D-Link cameras but again, not essential as app. is fully featured and everything can be set and controlled through it.All in all, I'm really impressed and pleased with these cameras and can see myself adding more. They are streets ahead of my previous cameras and with the ability to turn off the infra-red LEDs I can now give up on the idea and hassle of mounting an outdoor camera, just going to use one of these sat inside the window instead. In regards to using with Surveillance Station on the Synology NAS.Despite being in the compatible list, when searched for during the process of adding a camera, they don't show up in the Synology Compatible list but they do show up in the ONVIF list [see photo] and from there, can be added and named appropriately. Also worth noting, I needed to reboot my cameras after their initial set up [through the Reolink app] before they showed up in Surveillance Station.
