Very useful for checking cat 5 cables.
A simple, cheap device but it does an excellent job in checking cat 5 cabling. Very handy to check home wire plugs and sockets are ok.

Essential Networking Tool...
Purchase to install a PoE CCTV system using Cat5e and after reviewing several alternatives, so pleased I settled for this product. Simple to use and produces instant results - an essential item for anyone installing network cables - requires a 9V battery (not supplied)

Worked fine for me
Worked a treat for me. Found multiple problems simultaneously and now my network is perfect. Other reviewS did concern me, but I didn’t experience any problems.

Found 2 cables which were failing, replaced them and everything back to normal

Only used 3 times,then broken
Only used this kit in work for a few times, then the lights will not lit on anymore. Thought it was the battery is flat, replace with a new battery, still not working. Absolutely waste of money for buying this kit.

Instructions are totally useless
I know the basics of the intentions of the product, but there are things built into this unit that need explanation and the instructions are total rubbish and worthless.... making the purchase of the product questionable.
