Great seed quality
These are great seeds! They said they would germinate in 7-14 days and mine germinated in 4. I put them in a clear sterilite container in peat pots, added water to the container to wick into the pots and left the lid on for humidity. It worked great!!Looking forward to seeing lemongrass grow!

Quality Seed
At first I wasn't sure these seeds would sprout as they are packaged with some organic debris (from the mother plants?) They are packaged differently than the Lemon Grass seeds I usually purchase from another company at twice the cost. That company first places only the seed into a plastic vial and then places the vial into the seed envelope. Fortunately, the way the seed is packaged has made no difference. This morning I awoke to my first seedling sprouts! The germination rate is quite adequate so far. Not all the seeds have germinated yet, but I only started them under lights 4 days ago without a heat mat. I am very satisfied with my purchase so far and look forward to enjoying lemon grass plants again this year and purchasing more seeds from this company in the future.

REVIEW OF A 60+YEARS OF GARDENING
I OPENED PACKAGE AND IT LOOKED LIKE A BUNCH OF OLD DRY GRASS IT I TRIED A FEW and did not come up.THIS 30 DAY THING ON SEEDS IS CRAZY. BY THE TIME YOU GET IT AND SET UP TO PLANT WHEN SOME NEED STRATIFACATION WHICH TAKES LONGER. YOU DONT KNOW IF IT WILL GERMINATE. LONG AFTER THE 30 DAYS.I have gotten this before and it was seed and needs extra care to plant.

Planted All Seed and All Seeds Germinated
Planting lemon grass seeds turned out to be a delightful and rewarding experience!Germination and Early Growth:From the moment I planted the lemon grass seeds, I was impressed by their vigor. All the seeds germinated within just one week, a clear indicator of their quality and viability. I planted them in a pot indoors and maintained a consistent watering routine by misting the soil daily. This approach ensured the soil stayed evenly moist without becoming waterlogged.Lighting and Conditions:Positioning the pot in front of a window with partial sunlight proved to be an excellent choice. The delicate balance of light helped the seedlings thrive without the risk of scorching or inadequate light. The young sprouts appeared healthy and vibrant, a testament to the importance of proper lighting conditions.Transplanting and Continued Care:About two weeks after the sprouts emerged, I transplanted them into individual planters. This step was crucial for providing each plant with ample space to grow. I continued to monitor the soil moisture closely, ensuring it remained consistently moist. The plants responded well to this care regimen, and within a few weeks, I had robust lemon grass butts about 2 inches tall.Key Insights for Success:Soil Moisture: Keeping the soil consistently moist is vital for healthy growth. Misting the soil daily worked well during the initial stages.Temperature: Maintaining moderate temperatures, neither too hot nor too cold, is crucial. Lemon grass thrives in stable, warm environments.Sunlight: Adequate sunlight is essential, but partial sunlight works perfectly to avoid overexposure.TL;DRMy experience with planting lemon grass seeds was overwhelmingly positive. The seeds demonstrated excellent germination rates and robust early growth. By paying close attention to soil moisture, temperature, and sunlight, I was able to cultivate healthy and thriving lemon grass plants. This journey has not only provided me with fresh lemon grass but also a deeper appreciation for the care and attention these plants require. Highly recommended for anyone looking to add a touch of freshness to their home garden!

Plants are doing well and look great now, but the shipping did shock them a bit.

Quick to Sprout
Too early to tell. I planted the seeds about 10 days ago, but unlike other seeds these are beginning to sprout. Lemon Grass is a huge plant and once it matures will keep you supplied for tea and cooking over the course of the summer..

about 50% germination rate.
3 stars since it was only about a 50% germination rate. Hopefully they hold up, but the seedlings do look strong.

Impressed
So far so good! I planted the lemon grass seeds in a pot about 2 weeks ago, they are under a grow light in my garage until it is consistently warm enough to put outside.
