Fallkniven A1 Fixed Blade 6.3 in Black Blade Zytel Sheath

This knife is expensive and it's well worth the price. It is an excellent working knife. Thick strong blade that is very sharp out of the box.Great comfortable handle that Feels great in the hand. You can see and feel the quality from the blade to the handle. I like the black Cerakote Teflon coating, which protects the steel and also looks good. The flip side is that the Teflon Cerakote coating is sleek, and doesn't work well with fire starters. I don't mind because my fire-starter comes with a an uncoated steel, and giving this blade extra protection in the Pacific NW is far more important. The only thing I didn't like was the plastic sheath. It's functional but ugly and cheap looking. They should have added the black leather Fallkniven one. Great knife. I thought it was probably too big at first, but it's not as long as my K-Bar and the more I use it the more I like it. If I had to pick just one tool to keep with me while stranded in the woods or on a desert island, this would be it. You could build a log cabin, skin a Grizzly bear or flense a small whale with this thing!The kraton sheath is okay, but not great. The knife rattles a bit and is a bit bulkier than it needs to be. I ordered the black leather sheath from Fallkniven (on clearance) to replace it.

This knife is everything you want and expect a knife to be.The weight is right, the grip and handle are amazing and my God is it sharp right out of the box. Not that I tested it by shaving a path of hir off my left forearn about 6 inches long before I realized I had better stop. lolIts been tested with over 500lbs on it before the blade gives up...500LBS!!!Who else does that???The price is fair as I would understand if it were more.

This is the best knife I've owned. I chopped branches all day and it still kept its edge well enough to shave off the bark to make a walking stick. However, after the first day of backpacking, half of the black coating has been rubbed off. It absolutely looks used now. The holster is excellent, knife locks in place, so much easier to use than leather ones. I will be buying the Thor version soon.

Fantastic knife. It has held a shaving sharp edge after chopping through a whole lot of brush (mostly around 1/2") to clear hunting lanes.The anti reflective coating was only scratched when chopping through a heavy duty cardboard box, cutting through branches didn't affect it.I read and watched the reviews of a lot of knives before purchasing this one, very pleased with the quality.

I bought this for my Marine son for Christmas. I was not familiar with the brand but he raved about it. It is a nice thick piece of steel.

This knife is excellent. I really don't know what else to say about it. This knife is a tool you want to have with you when you need it. I have used it to baton wood, cut rope, and bushwhack a small area. I don't go anywhere outside without it.

It does not come super sharp but the blade seems very hardy and made from good quality steel. It's just the right size and has none of those serrations that some of us think are a bit silly. Needs a mollie compatible sheath.
