Works exactly as intended.
I hate cables and I the Pi4 I have running HAS already had an external USB drive and a zigbee dongle attached to it, so I wanted to remove the power supply cable if I could. This POE hat was perfect for that. It was easy to install and as soon as I connected my pi to my POE switch the thing just booted up! I like the blue LEDs it has but they are super bright, so you may not want this thing in a bedroom. Also, the fan it comes with is very effective but also kinda whiny (you can definitely hear it). Not to obnoxiously loud but, again, you may not want your Pi to be in a living room or bedroom. At least not out in the open.Other than that, it is great. It does what it says and helped me make my Pi setup a little more streamlined!

Works great for a Pihole
bought this thing to throw on a Pi4+ that i installed pihole on.Does exactly what it says on the tin, although the fan is pretty high pitched and loud.it doesnt fit in the Canakit case for the Pi but can kinda fit with the lid tilted if you use some flush cutters to remove the canakit case's fan mount (which you wont need anymore since the HAT has a built in fan.)

Does NOT fit in the Canakit case but can be partially modified - works well
LOTS OF BLUE LEDs. If this is going where there are humans at night, you won't like it.If you're using the Canakit cases for the PIs be aware that (1) the lid will NOT go on and (2) the midplane plastic will have to be materially modified with a Dremel *and* all but one of the stand-offs (which you can't fasten anyway) will have to be removed. However, with that done it does fit -- although the lid will not go on the top.If someone has a case that works for the PIs with this on, please comment. That's my only real complaint -- I thought the top might fit and the "stack height" wouldn't preclude it, but I was wrong about that. In the application where I need it that doesn't matter much, but it might matter to you. I do like the built-in fan.It does exactly what you'd expect it to in terms of powering the PI with PoE, so from my point of view its a win. YMMV due to case interference issues.

Very low profile works with plexiglass cluster case
I purchased these to clean up the wiring for a mobile Kubernetes cluster. 3 of the nodes are raspberry pi4 and 1 is a 3b used as a software defined router. They are powered from a 100 Mb/s 48v POE switch. Plenty of power for a SD card and USBc NVME external enclosure. The fans are quiet and the hats stay coolHighsLow profileIncludes heat sinksIncludes hardwareQuiet fansPlenty of power for external devices like SSDs

Wow. POE is a great way to power a Raspberry Pie 4.
Got this Pie hat to eliminate all of the unneeded wall worst. As soon as I connected it to the Pie and powered it on, the pie worked! No more extra wires. Just connect the CAT 5E or Cat 6 cable and you are good to go. Now I am able to reboot my mini Pie NAS from my managed POE+ switch just by resetting the port.

Works for Pi 4B
Worked on my Pi4b, just drop and plug. Has some blue LEDs on it I don't like but it's negligible in the long run.

Works well
Good Poe hat for RPi 4. Fan keeps the cpu cool and it's not too loud.

Constant reboots.
When using this HAT, my pi will run for several minutes and reboot. I suspect there is a component overheating. I verified the HAT was the problem by using another POE product to power the pi and have had no issues.
