Naive Set Theory

Classic for mathematical presentation
Building theory from scratch is not an easy thing to do. But this is this book's goal and it does it very nicely. The level of formalism, which might ordinarily be off putting, is a strength here. Is such a quick read it should probably be given to any first year maths student as a primer before studying.

great book
written so well it is a pleasure to read and to study from this book; great printing and big size so easy to use. so unlike typical math books written so clumsily and in bad grammar as if by a stupid robot. service was great too, arrived early and in pristine condition. appreciate the care in shipping and delivery.

Best book for high school math enthusiast's
Very lovely piece of text!I'm in high school studying calculus & thought it would be nice to learn some set theory, which I did.

I recommend this book to everyone who wants to learn set ...
It is a compressed book written on set theory. This is especially correct about the final chapters where it gets very hard to read and you may need to read every paragraph a couple of times to understand and decode. This made me read some parts of the book by Karl Hrbacek and Thomas Jech. Yet, I recommend this book to everyone who wants to learn set theory in depth.

Want (or need) to learn set theory? This is the book.
This is a GREAT book on set theory. Very readable.A recent job change required me to come up to speed on set theory ASAP (strange I know, but bang around in the industry long enough and you'll be amazed at the stuff you have to learn,) and this book was recommended. Naive Set Theory hits the ball out of the park.

Great textbook to learn about the foundations of Set Theory.
Classic text on Set Theory by Halmos at an amazingly cheap price.

very good intro to set theory
Very short, very good intro to set theory. Concise and complete. Not a theorem and proof book (hooray!) but a readable introduction to the subject with clear explanations.

Set theory made easy
A classic undergraduate text that truly makes the fundamentals of set theory easy -- leaving the rigorous proofs for more advanced texts. Start here, as set theory underpins most of mathematics: real numbers, complex numbers, rationals, irrationals, etc.
