Performance Tool W89730 A/C Manifold Test Gauge Kit

I purchased this kit because reliable A/C service is as rare in Panama as good plumbers or electricians.It is well made, good packaging and does what it is supposed to do.Let's face it, A/C manifolds are not exactly rocket science. This one checks all the boxes and does what it is supposed to do quite well. The body is well made, with dummy connectors to keep the high and low pressure hoses clean and out of harm's way when not in use. The hoses are high quality silicon tubing and the connectors work just fine. No regrets.

Pros - Functional, with some work.- I do like that this has the metal connectors on the side of the manifold so you can connect the hoses to those and then run a vacuum on it to test that there are no leaks in the gauges/hoses before using. (It passed this test)Cons - The labels on the manifold are incorrect. The rotation directions are reversed, so that if you turn it in the direction that the label indicates should be closed, you are actually opening it. The labels on the hose ends are correct.- While this states that it is for R-134a, it requires an additional adapter to connect the supply hose to the fitting that goes on R-134a cans.

Works just as stated. The unit was missing the nut that holds the hook on the unit, but I rigged something up for that, I think the package was returned, the box was taped back together, or maybe damaged packaging and the nut fell out. It's nice to have tools so a person can do the job right. Thank you.

Good set of gauges but the only thing that I took star off for is on the vacuum side. The numbers are to smashed together to get an accurate reading.
