Smooth transition from a Tab E
This tablet is replacing an older Samsung Tab E I have used a lot for several years and the changeover went very smoothly. The new tablet imported various items from the old tablet "automagically" and the best part was when I swapped the data SIM from the old tablet to the A7 and on restart it recognized and was using the SIM. I didn't have to call the carrier or anything. I am using Ting for the tablet data. This A7 seems to be very similar to the Tab E, not unexepectedly, so I was up and running very quickly. A few things operate a little differently, but that's mostly due to software upgrades in the OS. One item needing getting used to is I didn't realize how much I used the front button on the Tab E, and the A7 doesn't has that. It's a double tap on the screen of the A7 instead. Not a big deal, but it has caught me out a few times already when I go looking to press the button that's not there. The screen display seems to be a bit sharper and just a little bit bigger than the Tab E's screen in the same same size form factor, going just about to the edge of the unit.I am very happy so far with the A7.

My favourite tablet so far
I love everything about it. I use it for my kids to play learning games and watch homework. It holds battery well and connects to the Internet quickly plus has good screen resolution.

ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT
If you're thinking about spending your money here, DO NOT. I bought 5 tablets, and upon delivery, once I inspected the tablets, I noticed they were all visibly scratched, dented, and in exceedingly terrible condition. I am highly disappointed in the quality of the products that I received. If I could give this a 0 star, I would, but since I can't, I'll just give it one. I would not recommend spending your money here.

Phone capability Not Compatible with Consumer Cellular
Beware phone call capability will not work with Consumer Cellular (data will). Although the description on Amazon states this tablet is unlocked and will make phone calls, read the last bullet under "Top Highlights". - International Model - No Warranty in the US. Can make calls if your carrier allows. Most US carriers will not allow calling feature to work on this device. I bought it to replace my wife's older tablet phone but will have to go another route. Nothing wrong with the product if you just want tablet with data and text capability.

Very happy with this tablet
I'm a longtime iPhone user and also own an iPad mini and an older Samsung tablet, both WiFi-only models. I wanted something bigger for use in a semi as a GPS, and with phone capabilities. I have service through Verizon and it's setup as a phone so I can make calls. I also run Google Maps and Waze apps for routing and to monitor traffic, and the big display is easy to read even in bright daylight conditions. I added a 512 GB microSD card and loaded it with a ton of music files and listen with a pair of Skullcandy ANC headphones.
