Open, closed or in between????
Heater works well now, engine temperature is correct, fuel economy is back, great. Im very happy. The unit was so easy to change. Drained to coolant, popped iff the hose, a few bolts and it was off and back on. Filled it up and it made such a difference. Local parts facility want this much cash for just the thermostat, let alone the housing also.

Thermostat failure
I bought this thermostat a year and half ago, installed it run great until now , got my check engine light on pulling a code P0128. The only reason i bought this one was because it is a dorman brand , looks like i can’t count on this brand, will go back to Mopar

Good quality product, less expensive than OEM
I purchased this to replace another thermostat I'd just purchased directly from a Dodge dealer.It cost me nearly half as much as the Dodge thermostat, but has so far outperformed what I think was a faulty assembly from Dodge (good luck getting a refund from a dealership!).I only recently installed it, so I can't speak to the longevity; however, the original OEM unit lasted 6 years & 115,000 miles so I don't expect to have a fair comparison any time soon.
