Best box cutter I ever used
The absolute best box cutter I have ever purchased. The form factor is incredible. You can literally forget you have it on you but it is always there when I need it. The locking mechanism is sturdy and reliable and swapping blades is a breeze. I don't go anywhere without this. I loved it so much I am buying more because when I misplaced mine last week I missed it so much that I could have practically mourned it! You will not regret purchasing these!Be sure to lubricate it after the first year or two and bear in mind there is a slight break-in period, but you will never buy a bulky box cutter again after using this.

Simply the best
The smallest and simplest utility knife. I carry this everywhere and use it almost every day. The best part is that when it gets dull, I flip it, and when it gets dull again, I replace the blade. I have bought 2 of these sets for a total of 6. They are the absolute best, cheap enough not to matter, useful enough to always carry one. Importantly, they have fit the blades I have used (lennox, dewalt, no-name) and are sturdy.Use Dewalt carbide blades, and you can cut through glass. They also last an incredibly long amount of time.

Highly functional, easy to open, easy to close, easy to change blade.
For the price I expected one of these. Somehow I missed that set of 3 for one decent price.Easy to open, easy to close, easy to change blade. I know I have 3 of those yellow stanley utility knife blade holders around the house. Two are new, maybe down 5 blades total. Other one has at least 50 blades left. So I have a lifetime supply of blades for my wife and I with these new folding knives. Super happy! Amazon, more tools like this please!

While pocket sized, they're best suited for tool drawers and glove box.
I paid $12.60 - 13.99 - 10% coupon. Hmm, looks pocket sized. Is it good for that? Is it so compact that it won't be comforable to hold?I have large hands, and can get three fingers on the colored handle, leaving pinky dangling, or better yet choke up and put index finger around the open holder.Disappointed that while the blade tends to stay where it is (closed, slightly open, partway open) due to pivot friction doesn't quite lock closed. They tried, because there is a visible detent which should engage when fully closed, but the tolerance isn't close enough for that detent to engage. While the pivot friction is probably high enough to keep it closed, I wouldn't be comfortable putting this in a pocket unless I had a narrow enough pocket where blade couldn't open for sure. Razors can cause a lot of damage quickly. It does lock open well, though, with a frame lock - very similar to a liner lock. So it is easy to use - just in my opinion not good enough for pocket carry. I'm more likely to regret an unexpected slice than find myself in a situation where I just have to have a box cutter. For the glove box and tool box this will suit well. You can find more comfortable box cutters with bigger handles, but some don't have retractable blades, which I won't leave in any drawer, and most have inconvenient blade changes using a screwdriver. I don't use them often enough to need the better ergos of dedicated large handles. There is some minor rattle of the blade in its holder, and the frame lock which engages to keep the blade open is about 97% - plenty good enough you won't notice any wiggle while using it. I cut both a package (easy of course) and sliced a sidewall off an old tire (not an easy cutting job). Not amazingly comfortable but very doable. This would be fine for kitchen drawer, garage etc. for all the things where a super sharp blade is the only easy tool, or tasks you know will destroy the edge but no big deal.Possible use for travel, remove the blade and buy at destination, but due to the lack of 100% lock closed, I don't think so. I will consider their more expensive model with a push button lock open/closed.One more thing, the ridge you push up on to release the blade, requires using your thumbnail, a bit uncomfortable, so you might need to find the corner of something nearby if you have longer fingernails.P.S. I think the colors will be good to control tool migration from car to garage to house to etc. - like how my pencils and sharpies seem to end up where I left them, rather than where I need them right now haha.

Good quality utility knife, thick metal, nicely finished, mechanically sound, works well
These knives came well packaged in a small cardboard box. The knives are clipped onto a separate folded sheet of folded cardboard that keeps them from touching each other or shifting around and getting dented or scratched in transit. The package feels surprisingly dense and solid. The knives (3 per package) are made of thick, shiny stainless steel. The stampings are fully deburred, polished and laser marked. They are very well-fitted, and the liner lock mechanism locks with a nice satisfying click. The tolerances are amazing for a knife at this price point. I got a set of three for $15.The blade is a standard utility knife blade, so this is obviously not a replacement for general purpose pocket knife, but for opening packages and small trimming jobs, it will do the job very well. perfect for those messy jobs you don't like to use your standard pocket knife for, like slicing messy tape, or opening gritty boxes that might dull the blade. The blade changes in seconds, and ready to go again.Knife does not feel flimsy at all. Thick, sturdy steel, (0.039" / 0.99 mm) and very well fitted. Heavy enough to handle easily, but not so heavy as to be annoying in the pocket. Overall dimensions (excluding the clip are 1 inch wide, 3" long (folded), and 0.295" thick. 5-1/4" long when opened. The blade has some slop vertically, but is held firmly side-to-side, so no worries about wandering cuts or slippage. The assembly tolerances are amazing, especially given the price point, so I took a shot at measuring them for you, so you can compare to another knife if you like. I had a hard time measuring the amount of play in the hinge lock. I didn't want to make a full-on setup, but it looks like about 0.020" of rotational play measured at the end of the blade holder. Side play was just detectable by feel, but I couldn't actually measure it. Indistinguishable from flex without a competent tooling setup. The blade is the weak point here, which is exactly as it should be. The sturdiness and good assembly of the body and hinge gives confidence and a feeling of good control when cutting. Very nice. Feels solid, and sturdy. Never feels like the handle will twist or bend in your hand. If you break the blade, it's not because of a weak handle. Sounds weird to call a 5 dollar knife beautiful, but, well, I'm a engineering geek, so what can I say. I'm impressed. This is a really good knoife. The no-tools blade change mechanism is easy to use, and the blade is securely held. I can't see this accidentally coming loose or falling out unexpectedly. The only limitation I see for this tool is the blade is just a utility knife blade, but that's just what it is. Love these knives. If they break, or (more likely) get lost, I would instantly buy them again. I might buy some just to give away. They are good. Buy a pack. You won't be disappointed.
