Our public city water seems to be good enough as for TDS, but I need RO in concern of PFAS
The media could not be loaded. Our public city water claimed to be pretty good, as it also showed on the TDS reading: for the incoming tap water, TDS reading is only around 30ppm. However, I am concerned about PFAS nowadays which cannot even be detected by the most commonly used TDS measurement. So this system is good for that as well, and I really like the real time measurement of TDS as an indicator RO is working. I also want to provide a few notes on the installation I hope can help others and clarify a couple things, because I felt some other reviewers might get not realize these. First of all, some people mentioned it’s really hard to take out the plugs from four water ports on the back of the unit. It’s actually the feature of these quick release connectors. Just like when you trying to directly pull out the 1/4 inch line from a quick release connector, they are designed to be hard to pull out or the line would be accidentally get pulled out. The correct way to pull out plugs or lines from these connectors is you need to push and hold down the tab collar while you pull plugs or lines out of them. So for these plugs on the back of the unit, if you push and hold the tab collar first and then pull the plugs while holding down the collar, it would be much easier and you would also hear a pop as it release the pressure from inside as you remove the plugs. The other thing is installation manual has it wrong on page 9, step 4c, the large (or longer) faucet post is for purified (or RO) water. The short post is for filtered only (or non-RO) water. And these should be connected to purified and filtered water ports on the back of the unit accordingly. You can also tell by the flow rate of two different types of water after installation. RO water has a pause on the start to get the pump going and it also has slower flow rate as it goes through one more filtration step (reverse osmosis) than just the filtered water. Third, I also used the dishwasher adapter for the drainage hose as others mentioned. But you don’t have to buy the $27 dollar one that’s bundled automatically as “buy it together” option on the product page. As long as it’s for 1/4 quick release connector and similar overall shape, it’s good. I actually found one from same brand (air gap international) and that brand owner as the actual seller for less than $20 dollar on Amazon. Last, if you plan to tap into the power of garbage disposal for your tankless RO system, like in my case as I don’t have a dishwasher outlet under the sink, you might have to leave the wall switch for disposal always on after the installation (I actually added an outlet from the garbage disposal circuit), and add another separate switch for garbage disposal, such as a remote control switch, if you want the RO system to always have power without garbage disposal always running. Also the check valve in the bag with one yellow end and one blue end, and they never mentioned it anywhere in the installation manual, I added that to the drain line just to prevent possible back flow.

Almost two yr review
Purchased Nov 22 2022 to this day Sept 20 2024The unit met our expectations, Install was simple and only took 30 minutes with directions. Water was clean clear and tasteless of impurities!Today Sept 20 2024 the multi stage filter exploded inside the machine leaving the very back of the filter housing locked into the machine and flooding my kitchen. Thankfully I was standing near by and could turn the water off quickly.I’d say it was a freak accident and has nothing to do with the actual machine itself, but a fatigued filter housing. After diagnosing the problem I called customer service and was talking to a very helpful live agent within a minute of dialing at 8:30am. I was told they would get back to me today Friday or Monday after the weekend on a solution after pushing my inquiry to another team to further assess the problem.I’m rating 4 stars, only because of the filter exploding2 months before it’s recommended two year replacement.

It's easy to install, I got a good deal on it, but replacement filters are expensive
This thing feels heavy and solid. It's super super easy to install, I have NO idea why someone left a review saying it took them two days to install it. They mentioned taking out the factory plugs was hard and it could damage the machine: make sure you know what you're doing! Press down on the tabs, don't try to yank them out.I really like how there's two options on the faucet, this alone made me buy it. The faucet is also really nice with the display.Replacement filters are $50 and $170 each right now respectively for the PCB (just filtered) and RO (reverse osmosis.) I got the machine at a discount at around $120 but it's usually $240. So they basically charge you the ENTIRE cost of the machine for the filters. I guess they're hoping to make money off you, sell the device cheap and then price-gouge on the filters? I don't actually know if the filters are proprietary or not but I know what I'll be doing when the filters need replacing: buying a different entire machine if the filters are going to cost that much. The water tastes like.. water, just fine. Both filtered and RO. The filter already takes out the "tap water" taste so it's enough for me. The filtered water comes out at about 8-12 ounces every 8 seconds. The reverse osmosis water comes out at about 8-12 ounces every 12 seconds. The included hoses are super super long, which is nice of them to provide but at the same time it does cause it to where it takes a second to "kick in" for the reverse osmosis water. So it'll maybe drip some of the older water in the hose for half a second to a second then kick in full speed. I assume this can be corrected if I ever stop being lazy and cut them to the proper length.

Great product and quality
I was worried about getting an electric RO maker. Super happy with it and its very quite with a small foot print.
