good for kids older than 8
This is a great product if your child knows how to read and follow 3 pages worth of directions to fold the plane. I recommend it for 10 or older. If an adult wants to fold the planes for the younger ones then its a great gift. But its not something a child who is just learning to read and understand somewhat complex directions to do on their own.

Cute but challenging
If you like Origami and know the difference between a valley fold and a mountain fold, then these are great for you. For us novices it was a little challenging, but thanks to the available videos and after reading the definition of the different folds, we worked our war through the book. It made for a fun family origami night and the dragons look pretty cool. Great for decorations and guest gifts at a dragons kids birthday party.

Confusing
Maybe it's because it's our first time trying to build paper airplanes by instructions from a hook, but my whole family was very confused as to how we were supposed to fold the paper. We each took turns look at the instructions and going step by step to figure it out, and just could. The quality of the paper is great, the colours are vibrant, and the goal designs look awesome. Unfortunate that we couldn't figure it out.

Cool designs, some fly, can be challenging to fold well
Cool designs, some fly, can be challenging to fold well. Not for really young kids unless they are very patient and like to assemble things.

what a fun book of projects!
My son was very enthusiastic about this book - he opened it immediately and started making dragons. A good kit to keep an active and imaginative kid busy!
