Purchased this hood in the smaller size for a Peter Pan costume. I’m definitely impressed at the quality for this price. The material is velvety and sturdy, the harness straps look nice, and the hood can be worn up or down. I was worried this hood would be way too big for me, as I have a smaller frame, but it works!

Material quality isn't the best but it looks great on. I do wish the front of the hood came down a bit more, if you're a larger male it may not cover your face.

I wear this hood often around the house. I have a separate cape, which means the hood jostles around less. This one takes a second with the buckles, but it is worth it. It's sturdy and secure enough to hold its form, keeping the breeze off you without obscuring or restricting.

It took a long time to find the right hood for my ren fair costume. This was what I should have bought the first time. After buying a returning a few other hoods, this one worked perfectly. First, the material is a soft felt, so it was not creased in any way during shipping. Second, the material is not pleather, so there is not smell. You can open it and wear it as soon as you get it. It was easy to put on, even when I needed help with the under arm buckles. Yes, it was a bit warm on a hot day, but it was easy to pull down and back up again whenever I wanted. This really enhanced my costume and I am glad I bought it.

As usual the pictures did not fully match up to the product I was expecting. From the pictures most of them look as though the cowl can stand up a bit on its own giving you a recessed shadowy appearance, this is not the case it's just a piece of fabric that flops over your head like a really thin hoodie. If this is the look you want to go for maybe cyberpunkish then this is the crap for you if you're looking to make more of a Renaissance cosplay type of thing not truly recommended definitely flops around your face.

I bought this for an assassin costume I was putting together and it was the perfect addition. Added just the right touch for the look but isn't heavy or too hot. It was very comfortable to wear.
