Hozelock Ltd HZ24250000 Pico Reel, Yellow, 10m:I have a small garden full of veggies and needed a replacement hose for my old and trusty spring coiled hose,that perished, that could reach my entire garden without the chore of mauling the full size hose and reel around.After much research I purchased this 10m dinky little hose reel and so far I am very pleased with it. It is of all plastic construction but seems sturdy enough and I foresee many years of use if treated with respect. It does not have industrial build but then again it doesn’t have an industrial build price either.I have dropped it a few times without incident.The hose pipe is of a smaller diameter than standard but with my water pressure there are no flow issues and I get, depending on the spray setting selected, a powerful water flow.The hose reel is dinky and is ideal to carry around when watering, spooling and unspooling as you go.The spray nozzle has many useful spray patterns of which I use the gentle watering can like setting the most and it also has a adjuster for the flow rate as well as a lock to hold the trigger open. Thoughtful.It’s easy to wind up once finished but remember to move the hose ( still pressurised from side to side to ensure even spooling and no jamming. Then release the water pressure and both ends have clamps to attach them on the hose spool. Very thoughtful. This is one of my top 3 gardening gadgets

We use this in our motorhome, as the hose is long enough to reach most water outlets on campsites, it is a lightweight, compact design and the holder keeps the hose tidy and very easy to move. The hose has quite a narrow lumen, but this does not affect flow, unduly. The connectors and spray attachment work well, though some of the sprayer settings work better than others. A good, compact and competitively priced hose reel.

I needed a lightweight hose that would reach from our outside tap to the furthest part of my greenhouse (just about 9 metres) for watering my veges, so I don't have to manhandle our main 50m hose, and also so I can do my watering whilst the other hose is in use (we have a splitter) I've been using a succession of expandable hoses which are ideal only to a point, if the water pressure drops (eg when the other hose is turned on), they shrink and get stretched and inevitably damaged and one end or the other and I get soaked. I saw this pico hose with a winder, and it is a game changer. I went for the option of connecting the long grey hose (8m) to the tap and the gun to the short yellow hose (2m) and it was so easy to pick it up and pull out the hose whilst walking to the greenhouse. When finished it was just as easy to wind it back up whilst walking back to the tap. Sadly, the spray gun I received (different from the one pictured) was faulty and started spraying as soon as the water was turned on and would not turn off - there is a distinct rattle in the handle, and the trigger made no difference whether in or out (as the other hose wasn't in use I was able to use the gun from that and was able to use the hose). Amazon are sending a replacement though, so hopefully the new gun will work, if not, I'm going to keep the replacement and buy a new gun. This hose costs twice as much as the myriad of expandable hoses, but my first impression is so much easier and neater to use which in my book makes it good value.Edit- the replacement arrived the next day and the new gun works perfectly - faulty gun sent back with unused new hose. The only downside is the sprat gun does not have labels for each setting so I'll have to find a marker pen!

This item is perfect for a small garden - as with all or any hose items don't leave outside for Jack frost to do his worst - If they freeze with water in both the gun and connectors will fail !!there is a review up here about it not winding in correctly- mine works perfectly just take your time and don't kink hose and it won't give you any trouble in my opinion - it's great so neat 10m long not quite long enough to get to my greenhouse so I use a bog standard 2 meter hose from tap to pico hose reel problem fixed ..finally this hose will & does have less power due to the reduced bore size of hose - however it's powerful enough for me ....
