The card reader is really easy to use and super convenient! I was a bit wary because reading through reviews, I became aware that many people had issues with the required app and setup process but I've had no such issues. The reader works consistently and lasts me for a whole day out busking without having to recharge. It makes it much easier to take payments and donations without having to rely on people carrying cash! Its not rated for water resistance but a little rain exposure hasn't damaged it yet in my experience and I'll be using this for the foreseeable future!

I regularly take payments wirelessly and this sleek and stylish machine helps this process run smoothly and effectively. It is small enough to allow it to be portable on site and on location and it is very easy and simple to use.

This creates such an easy process for taking card payments, links to an easy to use app, click of a button and contactless payments are made. There is a bit of set up in the background and the need to remember to connect at the end of the day but has saved me so much time in the long run!

I have acquired this square card reader for use by a non-profit organization to finally enable us to take card payments at our fundraising events. As part of this we needed to set up a square account, it was simple enough however it took some time (about a week) for all details to be checked, validated and all set up, so do bear that in mind if you are aiming to get set up with this for an event.Having got our account set up and app downloaded it was very simple to connect the reader to the app and take a payment. One nice feature is you can have the app installed and logged in on multiple phones and the reader can connect to each of those devices, so if there are a few of you working on a stall in shifts you can move the reader between phones without needing to give someone else your phone, again ideal for non-profits.Payments went through smoothly and deposited in our bank account without issue. Overall impressed how relatively easy it was to get set up and going to take card payments at our events.

Looked at all the reviews all states how easy it is to set up not true identity check states the residence i voted from last year and pay the council tax and every bill from cannot be verified by them dispite me checking and there i am on the electoral register. No one will call assistant on line doesnt do anything appart from search data base of replies and list them now i get a message saying unable to confrim electronically they are going to suspend my account unless i send them my driving licence pictures to them and utility bills showing my name and address and then they may decide i am indeed alive. Done this now awaiting reply totally rubbish very frustrated and so far spent over 8 hours trying to set it up not hopefull for the future.I have since been told that there is now apps you can just download onto your phone that work way better so why did i bother with the expense no idea.

Wish I got this sooner!Me and my mother in law have a crafty card Buisness and go to craft fairs quite a bit. We've only ever done cash but not many people carry it now as days. After seeing one of the other stalls use it we had to invest. Such an easy set up, easy to use app and not had any issues with connection or use. Highly recommend and really really good for the price.

I was very impressed with how easy this was to set up and get payments. I think for any small businesses you couldn't go wrong with it. I somehow managed to get pay by iphone set up first without realising which was my only confusion but truthfully having both options in case of emergencies is a plus.I think the charge of 1.75% is higher than we would otherwise pay for our terminal in branch but to be able to take a payment from anywhere in the world it is definitely worth the small extra charge.

Really easy to set up, this reader is a must have for small businesses and traders. It’s quick and easy to use and payments show up in your account almost instantly. It’s also really small so you can pop it in your pocket if at a fair or show.
