I wanted to love this
I've been wanting one of these for quite a while and finally bit the bullet!I wanted so much to love this. Unfortunately, I don't.Pros:* It hops!* It's cute AF* The remote resembles "switches" (cool!)* You can tell people you own a '59 Impala lowrider (grins), which is probably the only'59 Impala most of us will ever be able to afford :)Cons:* Could not get it to work consistently* Cheap quality* Too expensive for what it isIf you've never owned a 1/10 scale RC car, note that these are way bigger than the typical 1/18 scale die cast cars most of us collect. The size would not be a problem for me if it actually worked consistently. I couldn't get it to work beyond a minute (if that) at a time. Battery was fully charged. Read and followed all instructions. For six hundred bucks, I expected this to work flawlessly and be of better quality. The body is made of thin plastic (I'm assuming this was a design choice to help the car hop). The car, especially the body and parts, felt cheaply made. The back antennas, at the very least, should have been made of metal and not cheap, thin, easily-breakable plastic. It arrived with one of the side mirrors loose and the hole for it too big to fit it without glue (no biggie but felt like a lack of quality control). Clearly, we're paying big bucks for the design and hopping ability.I totally love the concept and if the car worked consistently, I may have overlooked the cheap quality and kept it. But I just can't justify paying so much for something that isn't more reliable and of better quality.Returned.
