5 MONTHS & HAVING PROBLEMS.....REALLY??? DO NOT BUY......!!! ***UPDATE***
After reading great reviews, we bought this for our RV in January & it worked great. We were very happy with the amount of ice it produced, it was quiet & loved the little nugget ice. Two days ago, it started making a strange noise, the ice output was decreased, then stopped & the unit itself seemed to get very hot feeling. We unplugged it for a while, then plugged it back in-started making ice, but then the noise started again. Checked the user manual & have done everything correctly & it's currently running 'ok', but not like before. It's only 5 months old & already starting with issues......not happy! I will be contacting the company......it's ridiculous that something only 5 months old, costing almost $200, just sitting on a counter doing what it's supposed to do, is already having problems. For the time being-I DO NOT RECOMMEND ECOZY ICE MAKER!!! I will update after I contact the company & see how they respond.***UPDATE*** I contacted the company & literally within hours, I received a response. The company stands behind their products, customer service rep Lisa is very nice & within 2 days, I received a full refund (no return of the unit required). I must say I'm extremely impressed with how quickly this matter was addressed & resolved. Although the icemaker didn't perform as expected, their customer service is impeccable. Would I give Ecozy another chance-possibly, as we really liked the ice maker & whatever the problem was with this unit may have been just a fluke.

I loved this unit but it destroyed itself...15 months after I bought it so no warranty
Okay, this is as honest a review as you can read. I loved this product. It made cool tiny ice cubes. Me and my family used it every day. I bought it September 23, 2023. Last Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, I came home from work and walked over to the unit like I do every evening to get a cup of ice. There was no ice in the basket, which also occurs if it runs out of water. Not a big deal. But then I looked in the basket and saw a bunch of pieces of hard black plastic. (see photo). I realized that the part of the unit where the ice is made had broken and that it had come apart. I unscrewed the top to investigate and saw that it had imploded and broke on its own. The other 2 pictures show what was left after this happened. That area should be a solid black platform. Also, the metal bar shown in the photos is not supposed to be bent like it is, Clearly, the unit went berserk while i was at work and I suppose was grinding against itself.I contacted customer service. There is no one there to answer the phones. It is all automated. But, in eCozy's defense, someone called me back. She created a work ticket. I told her I had photos. She said hold onto them and that I would be contacted by someone within 48hours. This morning, Monday the 23rd, I received an email. This is what they wrote:"Please kindly note that we only offer a one-year warranty for our products, and your warranty has expired by now. Iâm afraid in this case, we cannot cover the warranty for you. "That is an unsatisfactory response. I do understand that it was 15 months since I bought it. But there was no way I wasn't going to write a review because you should know that you will have no recourse once a year elapses. This unit could have caught on fire while I was a work because the motor was all screwed up and over-working. The item costed $250. If they had simply offered me a replacement at half of the cost, I would have been satisfied. Buyer beware. Look for a different manufacturer. To reiterate, I loved this machine but they get a zero for customer service.

Great machine. Perfect tiny ice for drinks and crunching đ
I love this thing. Makes the smallest perfect little ice. It works pretty fast too. Easy to use and easy to clean. It looks nice on my counter. My only complaint is that sometimes the hum it makes is annoying, but I just turn it off if I wonât need it for a while. It only hums when itâs actively making ice, otherwise itâs quiet. The hum isnât very loud, but it does exist.

Works better than my OpalâŚ
This actually works better than my opal did. I was always having issues with my opal. This was a much less expensive option, comes with a two year warranty, (unlike the opal, which only comes with a six month warranty), and itâs much easier to clean. Additionally, it has a much smaller footprint and takes up less space on my countertop. The initial one I received started acting weird after about two weeks, making really awful noises. The company however, replaced it without any hassle which I really appreciated. In the instructions it says to NOT use distilled water- this puzzled me. I think that the reason they suggest that is that when you use filtered water instead of distilled, it makes it softer ice. I assume itâs similar to the way that snow forms around tiny dust particles in the air.
