Perfect simple fitness tracker watch
I bought this for my mother who didn't need or want a smart watch that can do everything her cell phone does. This watch is perfect. Ez to use, only 1 button. EZ to setup. EZ to sync. No charging EVER. That's golden. Who wants one more thing to charge. And when you charge u lose the fitness or sleep data during that time. This device lasts about a year with it's replaceable battery. You can wear it while in water swimming or bathing. The size and weight is great for anyone. You can get any color or type of strap imaginable. Gives u step, activity , and sleep data. For the price and what it does and simplicity it's perfect way to get someone working on a fitness journey or become more conscious of health and fitness and awareness of lack of movement as well as help them set some walking goals. I'm a Garmin fanatic. I have the Garmin tactix watch and our child wears a Garmin bounce. I use their Garmin biking gear. I support and endorse their products and vision .

Terrible Watch
First, it’s so dark you really can’t see it clearly. Then, the watch was ok, till I needed a new battery. Then, it never again. Yes, it did tell time, but nothing else worked. I am really disappointed in this watch!

A useful step counter, with long battery life and goal streak tracking
I have purchased this watch at least 3 times, including some custom straps for different colors. My favorite features of this watch are the long battery life and step goal streak tracking. This watch enabled me to keep a baseline level of walking for 2+ years, reaching a few 200+ day streaks and greatly improved my baseline fitness. My approach was to set a very achievable baseline daily goal (6000 steps) and then try to consistently hit that every day.Based on the above, I would give this watch 5 stars. However it is not durable enough, hence the score I gave.PROS:Great battery life. Consistently 1 year-plus. Can take it to a watch shop to replace when the battery dies, or try yourself. No need to charge or take off, just use it.Has step goal setting and tracking. In addition, it keeps track of how many days you've hit your goal and gives a fun sound and animations when you hit it.Can set the watch to sync steps to your phone and configure it that way. I set the sync setting to about once a day to avoid extra battery use. It's fun to see the step progress over time and to hit various goals.Has a small backlight that you can activate, which is helpful for seeing at night. I like the aesthetic of the color e-ink display (useful for having long battery life.)Some degree of sleep tracking, and useful since you don't need to take it off to charge.Seems water resistant. Can at least shower with it.Lightweight. I wear it alongside a watch that has a stronger backlight and stopwatch features.CONS:It's not very durable. As previously stated, I have had to purchase multiple watches.Failure modes I've encountered:- Steps get discarded [!]. For example, I notice that I'm 250 steps less than an hour before, or I hit the goal and have to keep hitting it. These are the most frustrating since that is the main point of the watch and means I'm going to have to buy another one.- Screen gets scrambled or turns off. Also means the watch is going bad.- Audible high pitched noise when activating backlight (not a dealbreaker)- Strap breaking (this is reasonable)The first time I chalked this up to me replacing the battery and it getting water in it, but it even happens without much water exposure or without changing the battery. My best approach now is to avoid swimming with it, since I'm not getting steps then anyway. There's no warning when the battery is running out or will run out. The watch just turns off.Overall I got a lot of value out of this watch, and compared to top-end smart watches it is not too expensive. So for about a year of zero maintenance step counting, you may consider it worth it.

Simple to Operate
I have had a Garmin Vivofit 4 for several years prior to this and, while it was still working well, the metal button you push to change functions, no longer worked. I bought THIS particular version, despite it being more expensive and having fewer functions than Vivofit 7, because I am familiar with how it works and monitors what I want monitored. I LOVE this device!! It is battery operated and the battery lasts 1+ year. (I got replacement battery at Batteries Plus where I paid for lifetime battery replacement for just $25.) The size of the face of the watch is smaller than Apple watch. (People often comment how nice the size is.) The bracelet is perfect for my small wrist. Again, easy to use/maintain. If wanting more functions, you can get Vivofit 7 for cheaper price. Either way, you'll love this device!!
