This Serger Delivers
I have been a Pfaff fan for over 30 years. The cost of a new Pfaff serger is almost $4000. The serger is really utilitarian. My Pfaff CoverLock 3.0 is older and temperamental with thin chiffon, thicker linens, denim and cotton. It can also be a threading monster. This KPCB, taken out of the box delivered remarkably. The instructions.....well.......like other products from China is dirt poor and difficult to comprehend. So do not expect much in its documentation....ever. Chinese manufacturers never up date operators manuals. But for the price you cannot argue that it performs well, and as long as you tie on new thread to new spools or colors, you may never have to thread it manually. Very easy, light weight too. The power switch for the light bulb lights up the machine like the tip of the Luxor in Las Vegas. I shut it off. The bulb is not recessed and shines in your eyes. Otherwise it saws through the thickest of fabrics, with all 4 threads without breaking. Recommended serger on a budget.

Affordable and nice results
This is my 2nd serger. My 1st one was a refurb Brother, but stopped working after only a few uses. Sergers are complex machines, so I went with a more affordable option. To my surprise, this new machine arrived pre-threaded with all four spools ready to go!!!I did make a small mistake by forgetting to remove the tape, so two threads broke. Thankfully, with a quick YouTube tutorial, I found the threading process surprisingly easy. Once I got it set up, it worked like magic! It trims all my fabrics quickly and with perfect precision. Very pleased with this purchase!

Tricky to use
It's smaller than any other serger i've seen, but so tricky to use! Tension discs have no numbers on them, so you guess how much to turn it. Threading is extremely hard, everything is tiny and confusing. Machine left a ton of oil on my table when I lifted it up. Be careful - it can ruin your table! Thread kept breaking. Light is way too bright and shines in your eye instead of down unto the sewing surface. It's a cheap knock-off. I guess you get what you pay for.

Bare bones
This serger is bare bones. There is no on/off switch. My light didn't work straight out of the box. I reached out to the company and never received a response. Rethreding is very difficult. No extra accessories. Plus, it came threded, thank goodness!
