Q: How tall are these socks? I'm hoping to wear them with ski boots which means I need them above mid-calf or to the knee.

They are what the picture shows about mid-calf (maybe a little lower). Mine are lower because I accidentally put them in the dryer and they shrunk. I wear them with winter boots or around the house on extra cold days, they are really soft & comfortable for wool socks!

Q: The size chart shows clothing sizes, not shoe size charting, does that make any sense?
