Good inexpensive pens for what I need
23 May Update: One of the two original fills stopped working, even after a cleaning and fill of Pelikan 4001 ink. The third I filled is working and has been for a few days without problems. I will test the last two because my return window is closing soon.Tested: 3 out of 5Working: 2 out of 5Defective: 1 out of 5Original Review: It's comfy to hold. The pen itself seems durable while not heavy, not sure about the converter. Ink flow varies based on the angle I hold it, or it could just be that it's a fresh fill. Simple design for what I need, mostly for testing new inks and any I mix at home. So far, the 2 I filled and tested are functioning fine. If there are any problems, I will update.

Great pens for the price!!
These pens actually surpassed my expectation. They are basic fountain pens that gets the job well done. I was not expecting super smooth nib and actually the slight lack of smoothness gives me more control over working on finer details. No issue with ink flow. They have vibrant colors which makes using them fun. I have tried three of the five pens in the packet so far and the yellow one turned out to have some fine cracks on the grip section and is leaking. It's a little disappointing, but for the price, even four is a real bargain. the grip section is triangular which is nice if it aligns with your natural grip. Overall, I think they are 5/5 for the price, but I will take one point off as one of them was damaged.

Great performing pens.
These are a clone of a more expensive pen. They don't have quite all the same features, and they are not compatible with Lamy converters--but they're great pens. Good flow, comfortable; when the grip is attached the ink window lines up with the top of the nib like it should. They're a good value for starter pens or just to have as pens you won't feel pain losing at school or on a trip--without going all the way down to a disposable fountain pen.I've run a variety of inks through them and they all worked great. They have a bit of feedback on filler paper or coarser papers, but not bad, and they have written well on everything I've tried them on with no skips or faltering until they're running on empty.I didn't notice any issues with drying out, but I've been using them daily.

Quality control needed but writes very well
I want to mention that I knew what I was buying, but the tabs on three of the pens are visible through the ink windows, and it bothers me, although it wasn't the main reason I purchased them. I wanted some fountain pens that I could leave around the office without worrying about losing them. I also have many Lamy ink cartridges from previous Lamy pens I have bought since I also bought a converter to use with them. After doing some research, I found out that the Jinhao 619 is essentially a Lamy clone but with the Jinhao brand displayed prominently instead of Lamy. They were reasonably priced, and when I received the Jinhao 619, I was able to use a Lamy ink cartridge with them. They write very smoothly and do not skip. Additionally, they came with converters, but those did not fit my Lamy pens. Overall, they are good pens, but the way the tabs are visible through the ink windows might bother some people. If that doesn't bother you, I would recommend getting these if you like fountain pens but don't want to use your more expensive ones around the office, or if you simply want to try out a fountain pen. I would advise that if you buy these pens, you will also need to buy some ink. You can also opt to purchase Lamy ink cartridges, which do fit a bit tightly but are compatible.

Excellent pens
Inexpensive, and yet they’ve been reliable and satisfying to write with. I love using a lot of different ink colors, these are perfect.

soft nibs, write nice, LEAK LIKE CRAZY
This review was previously 5 stars, but after using the pens for a little while I have changed my mind. I got these pens because I needed a set of cheap fountain pens to take to take to class, that I wouldn't be upset if I lost or left at school, and I figured why not get the ones that are clearly meant to mimic the Lamy safari? I have used Jinhao pens in the past and been impressed by their quality for the price. These pens, however, all failed within the first month and most of them within the first few days, and leaked ink all over my hands. Worthless.

Writes perfectly (Fine tip pen in fountain pen form)
First thing is first. I have tried out TONS of fountain pens. From ones that were $700- $30 and NONE performed like these have so far. Usually by the 2nd day the lines I would get out of the pen would be very thick and not really a "fine point". But after using these, so far I've gotten very thin lines which saves me space when studying! I got these pens for 4 reasons and there is 1 caveat (It was a positive for me but not be for another)1. I use pigment ink which means that they can be tough on the pen but the color they yield is worth it, but since the price of these is what it is I don't feel scared or depressed filling them up and using them with high frequence2. The feel of it is very light which helps with balance. I tried the Lamy clear version these pens are based on but I kept running into issue with the body constantly coming off once I took the cap off after using. I do not experience it with these pens3. The price makes me feel a lot better about trying them with different inks and are a great learning tool!4. I wanted a pen that was clear and let me visibly asses how much ink was left in my penCaveat: Most fountain pens I tried kind of felt very soft and they glided along the paper but these had a bit more traction and a little more pointed. I like this a lot as I find it helps me FEEL more of what im writing and how I'm writing it. It felt like I was writing with a Precision V5 Pen. BUT the lines stayed thin unlike any other pen nibs I've used so I am very very happy!Anyways, hope this review helped.
