Hold well and easy to fit
These threaded inserts are ideal for building small carpentry projects like kitchen cabinets or bolting shelves into place. They hold surprisingly well and once you drill a pilot hole will bed themselves in. One tip keep the pilot hole small.

Effective but not loadbearing
I bought these to replace two threaded inserts for my attic ladder, that had stripped out. These were oversized for the hole and I used wood glue too. They held the bolts just fine, but they did not stay in the wood frame and stripped out too. However, as the manufacturer M5 inserts had stripped out too I feel most of the blame lies with design or 7 year pine.
